I can't go 1 day without my carbs. What I tell people is stick to whatever nutrition/diet plan works for your but remember, you have to stick with it. Don't go with choices where you have to hate or not enjoy what you're going to eat. All diet plans work as long as you remember to eat less calories than what you burn.

Because it works fast and you don't have to work out or count calories to see results.

My doctor told me it wasn't good long term though and Dr. Atkins died of a heart attack

The Truth
And muscle.:stopitslime:
Not if you don’t stop working :umad:

You got to grind, Keto is hard and not for the weak. It’s also not good for long term, cycle like a bodybuilder would.

The weight you lose won’t easily come back either like a juice or a fast.

I was too big and bulky but after my Keto I shrunk, lost a lil muscle but nothing I can’t get back, but I looked GOOD. Everyone notices the weight I lost, even friends on FaceTime

Tons of these same obese and fat people are the ones doing these diets in the first place. At my job, the fat women and men are either on the whole 30 or keto right now. These are the current fads. And when my sister was on Paleo, there were many overweight people trying those too.

I agree that buffet gorging, overeating, processed foods, junk, gmo, etc are the culprits for why so many are fat and obese, but my point is that if these diets were truly sustainable and effective, more people would be able to stick with them in the long term, and most cannot. With all the diets out there, and weight loss tolls that exist, people are still fat and unhealthy. Carbs in moderation and eating in moderation does not cause weight gain and isn't harmful. But some people need that restriction to keep their weight down--I get it.

But your wrong that few people are trying these diets, A LOT of people are trying these diets. Many of these people struggling with their weight treat these diets like fads, going on them, to lose, losing the weight, then getting off them and gaining them back. And the next year rinse and repeat.

More and more diets and their variations come out each year. And people trying to lose weight, will pick the most drastic option(that's going to cause significant weight loss in the short term) go on that diet and it works in the short term, but most cannot stick to it. The average american diet is trash, but these types of diets are not sustainable or realistic for the average person, which study after study concludes. But you got to do what works for you breh. If this is what works for you, and your planning on doing it forever, then good for you. But very few people can restrict themselves for a long time. It is what it is.

This a huge reason many if not most fail counting calories soley and try seek other "diets"

With Keto its very hard to over eat, fat is hugely satisfying so you will not feel hungry at all and crave more food. Carbs in my experience and from many others does not do that, most of us could prob eat a ton load of pasta and rice, but would be very hard to eat that volume in a fatty steak.

Also if you add fasting to the mix then your Ghrelin (hunger) hormone reduces massively, but tthats another story.

I feel sorry for you. Some of that sounds fine, but god damn I can't imagine being that regimented every day of my life.:mjlol: That restriction and level of dedication to doing that and keeping it up--you said for five months now? Bless you.

I'm eating a piece cake in an hour, it's someone's birthday at the office. :yeshrug: One of my coworkers is on the diet and I see the sadness on her face when she can't eat in the moment. :mjcry:

It's no different than eating bullshyt everyday. It's a learned behavior. Your body adjusts.

Most people eat for different reason. You emotional eat. You eat because you're bored. Your body says you're hungry when you're really not. You over eat without even knowing it.

The body is a combination of complex cells and organisms. Each responds differently.

I know people who eat fast food everyday and are thin. Genetics plays a part as well.

Yeah true. It all comes back to portions. The amount of fructose it takes to slow down glycolosis (mainly regarding the PFK enzyme) is significantly more than the amount of sucrose/fructose needed to flood your body with insulin.

shyts complicated. I personally rock with IF because it fits me and I don't have to stress over macros like that

Yeah IF makes its very easy

Cut carbs and wonder why you're always lethargic all the time brehs!

On some real shyt, just stay away from bleached enriched flour and any chemically processed carbs and you're good.

Carbs aren't bad, it's all the processing and shyt that they do to it that contributes to unnecessary and unhealthy weight gain.

Which is why Italians can eat pasta from scratch and be in shape while americans eat processed bleached pasta and gain a shytload of weight.

Hmm I'm might have to do some looking into this. Is that a diet of primarily meat and veggies then? Damn so no beans either huh

I've personally never tried it.

I'm the type to put in work on the airdyne bike and battle ropes when I'm trying to shred.

I keep a good to descent diet too but I've heard the keto diet is hardcore :hubie:

That's the issue, not the keto diet. The keto effectively makes you lose weight, what you do AFTER the weight loss is on you :francis:

Yep.

But Avocado >>>>>

That's the thing, any diet can help you lose weight. But if it isn't sustainable in the long term, most people will struggle to keep that weight off.

If your diet is not realistically how you plan on eating for the rest of your life, then it's sort of stupid imo, because once you go off and gradually began eating things the way you used to, that weight is coming back on.

I understand that some people can't practice moderation though, or don't have self control, so perhaps these work better.

I saw what one of the brehs on here eats on a daily basis and that could never be me for the rest of my life. Like I said, I'm getting ready to eat a piece of cake with nfg. Good luck to yall though. I respect it. :salute:
