:russ: I don't know why I'm laughing so hard at this. It's true though. But it's true for everybody who's in a camp. Keto cult be doing the most though.

I just did a 24 hour dry fast this weekend for the first time. That shyt was amazing, real talk. Hardcore. I was tired as fukk and had bad breath and BO but it was worth it.

I sdmit that initial headache and shyt is horrid, but after that you literally just eating steak, oil and cheese daily. Its the simplest diet ever. The reason these fatties love it is because meat is tasty, they dont have to be responsible with carbs and the weight flies off because their maintenance is damn near 3-4k anyway wit they big asses. But its clockwork. Alllll the people I know who got on this either gsined it all back or plateaued because its not sustainable for a majority of people. Soon as they rotate them carbs bsck in its a wrap :pachaha:

Diets in general are stupid. Change your life not your diet

Check back in a year from now, when your done with the keto diet and back to eating bread, potatoes and rice, like most people that do this sort of diet end up doing because they can't sustain it for life. Either your doing it forever to keep your weight down, or you're going back to carbs and it was only good for the short term.

Most sensible post on here.

Diet doesn’t matter, daily caloric expenditure does. You may limit the types of food you eat but calories in/out is all that matters.

Not ALL that matters as not all calories are equal and have a different hormonal response. 100g of fat will react different to 100g of carbs for example.

Leptin and Insluin have to be considered also, aswell as many other things.

Its more than just "eat less move more"

Think reducing sugars in your diet won't reduce your weight brehs.

Especially refined sugars.

You guys should look into the French paradox when it comes to eating.

Carbs or no carbs the fact is the typical American lifestyle has too much food and too little exercise.

From our portion sizes to how prevalent food is in our culture.

Anyone that’s spend extensive time elsewhere in the world will see how less fixated on food they are.

Yea we gonna have to agree to disagree on the bolded. French food is quite nice.

Food tasting good and being overweight are not mutually exclusive. You can eat poorly tasting and be overweight.

My bigger point was about the culture and prevalence of food in the US. It's everywhere.

My post added to your quote. It wasn’t disagreeing

If the food taste better there’s more of a chance for it to be a food problem

When promoting fad diets became a profitable endeavor.

Diet advice the last couple decades is akin to the slow news week in sports. You might get one or two headlines that push a legit narrative forward, but on a whole its just awful takes reaching for attention.

Bodybuilding pre-steroid era cut calories using high carb, low fat macros with high meal frequency and a bunch of activity. They reliably got shredded with minimal/no signs of premature aging (e.g., they kept their hairlines).

That no carb shyt is taxing mentally. When losing weight you need to think sustainability. It's better to just to limit the fukk shyt and try eat clean. Lean meat, fruits and some whole grains will have your waistline looking right. The real shyt to cut out is sodas and sweets. Reach for the fruit over the candy
