should have made my self clear....I NEVER requested an increase. my credit was excellent. bought a new house not only with zero down but left closing with TWO checks. I am just giving OP example that some lenders dont offer increases like that for whatever reason. I dont recall if I ever asked for an increase from anyone tbh. most of my limits were great and all my increases have been automatic....didnt have to ask. all the other stuff you are speculating, I never gave all that info.
and when you are talking about credit cards denying increases of course, but Best Buy is different when you compare their co-branded card with others. the complaints come from people who have had the freakin card for YEARS and paid in full, and some were not overextended in credit and in the meantime getting LARGE increases from their other cards. anyone who does research will know, Best Buy, is notorious for this and very few other cards have these same tendencies....Citi notwithstanding. its pretty fukkin ridiculous to have a card from 5-10 years and get denied for increases as thousands of people have stated. it was no skin off me....I didnt need the card and stopped shopping there...in fact, I never missed a payment, and they closed the card which was $300 and to debunk what you said...at the time I had TWO other Citi cards...one with 10k limit and the other 3500 limit....so you cant tell me shyt about Best Buy Mastercard. would never recommend that card to anyone. one of the WOATS thats not sub-prime
