Yeah he had the blonde hair, but you respected it because his voice was unfadeable and the Dru Hill songs were incredible.

"Tell Me"
"Never Make a Promise"
"You Are Everything"
"In My Bed"
"5 Steps"
"We're Not Making Love"
"How Deep is Your Love"
"I Should Be"
"Beauty"
"These Are the Times"
and more dope album cuts....

Everybody loved him at that point.

And truth be told, the "Thong Song" wasn't bad, great vocals by Sisqo. The video was a little outlandish, but it was supposed to be a fun song.

I think it was the silver hair tho that did him in. :francis:
According to him, he got blackballed for appearing in a lil' kim or foxy brown (don't remember) video without permission from def jam.

I had that album in 8th grade, and it was a personal favorite at time, I used to walk to school listening to "You're My Everything" (Remix) with the Ja Rule feature, and listened in some form of fascination at the sexuality of "How Can I Luv U 2 Nite" when my friends and I were trying to do the "American Pie" lose our virginity thing, I still love all the classics from that album.

But did you know the OG version?

Anybody who discounted Sisqo's vocals is crazy. He never got the props he deserved b/c ppl were saying he copied off K-Ci from Jodeci.

Ft. Stewart, Ga
"Is he H to the Izzo, M to the Izzo
Fa shizzle you phony, you the rap version of Sisqo"

Nas saying that line put at least one nail in his coffin...

Nas dissed him like 3 times on wax within a year:russ:

Sisqo was just too fruity. Not even saying he’s actually gay but his persona got outlandishly effeminate towards the end of his run.

lol how he ahead when he jacked KC Hailey whole soul

How so?

You're born with the voice you're born with.

If everyone could sound like Michael Jackson or Prince or in this case K-Ci, everybody would do it.

To any real fan of music though, K-ci and Sisqo don't sound alike other than having a raspy voice

The lead single for his 2nd album (Return of Dragon) was TERRIBLE.

Unleash the Dragon is a damn classic :wow:

Are you talking about this song?

I loved that song as a kid remember my older brother used to have that return of Drzgon CD and he would bump that song all the time. I remember when that song came out I used to listen that song on my CD Discman walking around like I was the coolest kid in middle school. Hell I got that song on my Spotify liked song Playlist right now.

In the Silver Lining
Thong Song instrumental is

:wow:

I literally was thinking that when I saw this thread.
Those strings were on fire. :ohlawd:

Then with a nice Timberland-type production on top

Production. The song was written and produced by Sisqó, and Tim & Bob, the duo of Tim Kelley and Bob Robinson. Songwriters Desmond Child and Draco Rosa receive songwriting credit because of the interpolation of part of their composition, "Livin' la Vida Loca" (originally recorded by Ricky Martin), in the song's lyrics
