In terms of skill many believed #1 but frankly he was just on the magic / bird level in terms of accomlishments then, with kareem and wilt and bill rounding out the top 6 in the order of the observer.

The return and second three peat put him well above magic and bird for all reasonable discussion

Add in 10 scoring titles and defensive player of the year and the resume is just too much. Imagine Durant winning the next 3 titles, regular season and finals MVP. As crazy as it seems, he would pretty much replace everything LeBron has done, then if you add on 3 more
