Jordan would have ANNIHILATED zones , cmon bruh

and they do call illegal defense today ...

:comeon:

You know what type of "illegal defense" Im talking about. Not no damn 3 second violations, but guarding "space" instead of a player was considered illegal defense back in 1993....not in 2014. The Knicks would've been ever more devestating if the could play zone defenses back then if they chose.

:dead:

Do you or anyone else believe Jordan would average 41 points per game against the 2014 Spurs?

If not, what the hell are yall arguing?:snoop:

If he only could put up 32.2 on 40% FG against 6'3 Starks and the Knicks, and the Spurs were a great defensive team last season, why would anyone with a brain assume that his stats would look closer to the Suns' series than the Knicks' series....when the Suns were a HORRIBLE defensive team:rudy:

That's the problem with yall Jordan stans. Yall go to :cape: when yall arguing over nothing:mjlol:

He was the GOAT breh....Im not disputing that or saying he wasnt.

All I said was, that 93 run of "defenders" wasnt an impressive list of names that they are acting like and then Jordan stans wanna get up in arms.

Prime Jordan would've still got his numbers against the Spurs of last year, but he damn sure wouldnt have dominated the Spurs like he did the 1993 Phoenix Suns in the playoffs. The defenders werent that good back then as they are today.
you could play defense so much more aggressively back then though. You breathe on somebody today and its a foul. Jordan would've ate so fukking good in this modern ass soft ass league

The knicks of 1993 and the spurs of 2014 are night and day different defensively.

Jordan struggled that series especially early because of the illegal zones the knicks played and their physicality in the paint. The spurs are soft inside on defense. Duncan is still valuable but he isn't the same player.

What would happen if Pop put boris diaw on a 30 year old jordan? We're talking 40-50 points a game here seriously. It's no contest.

Lebron James who played maybe 1 complete game of good basketball, the second half of game 2, the second half of game 3 and the first half of game 4 averaged 28 points on 57% shooting and 51% from 3. KD Averaged 26 on 47% shooting. Jordan is a much better offensive player than both.

You bring up starks being 6'3, but since when do we judge defensive capabilities based solely on height. There's so much more to playing defense then being tall.

Some of the best defensive players ever were undersized AT THEIR POSITION. Bill Russel, Ben Wallace, Akeem, Gary Payton, Joe Dumars, Alvin Robertson etc.. etc... the list goes on and on.

Leonard is a good defensive player.

There's much more to playing defense then being tall and athletic. You have to want to be great at it and it takes hard work and effort, and preperation to playing defense.

For a guy who played basketball at the highest non professional and collegiate levels, you should know better.

:usure:

93 Knicks had a 99.7 Def Rtg....the 2014 Spurs had a 102.4 Def Rtg.

To put it in perspective, the 2014 Spurs would've been the 2nd best defensive team in the NBA in 1993 behind the Knicks:sas1:

And Kawhi Leonard is a better man to man defender than Starks was:sas2:

Can't just look at raw numbers to make a comparison.

The knicks played a grind it out half court game, while the spurs played uptempo basketball. The knicks had true big men clogging the middle, and dawgs on the perimeter hounding you and fouling the shyt outta you the entire game. The spurs are a finese team

MJ would average 35 on 48 in today's league but he isn't the only player that would cook in a different era.

Keep it quiet breh:sas1:

:sas2:

On another note, I agree that Jordan would've ate breh, I dont really know what yall are arguing here, except that yall are NOT arguing that Jordan would've done the 2014 Spurs like he did the 1993 Suns.

That was my main point, as well as the fact the names listed werent impressive in comparision to this day and age of lockdown defenders.

I keep saying Jordan would get buckets on the Spurs, just not like he did the Suns, but yall keep arguing:yeshrug:

I don't see a reason why Jordan wouldn't be abusing people like diaw, manu, Leonard would be in foul trouble and he would've been killing duncan and splitter at the rim.
