Nah thats not it breh. Fitzpatrick is a genius but Id fukking kill him of he came near the qb position for my team, intelligence means nothing. Bill realizes the secret that everyone is missing. Believe it or not white players are stereotyped in sports also. Just like how black players are discoraged from the qb position, white players aren't taken seriously as receivers and as a result some good talent is available for really cheap. Belichick is able to assemble a good offense for a lot less while having cap space to make some good moves in weaker areas.

Good posts. He's taking some undervalued guys and then using them in specific ways. It's one of the reasons he's such a legendary coach. He accentuates your strengths, hides your weaknesses.

It's quite simple really I didn't see it until I watched the Tom Brady special on ESPN. Bill Belichick core ideology is skill over talent. Talent is something you are naturally gifted with but skill is only developed by hours upon hours of beating on your craft. Tom Brady the skinny kid from Michigan that got drafted by Patriots in the sixth round as a backup quarterback is far from talented. Tom Brady didn't have the protypical attributes of a QB but what he did have was the desire and work ethic to be greatest of all time.

I'm positive that Tom Brady glo up from average to GOAT has greatly affected Bill's attitude toward recruiting players for his roster.
