Which city is the LA of the South: Houston or Atlanta?

South doesn't have entertainment in one place. Its segmented. This is different than LA which has music and film in one place. This entertainment backbone forms the identity of LA.I love my threads
Houston is more or less irrelevant entertainment-wise, with the exception of a handfull of rappers from the early 00s.
As for films and tv, it is no doubt Atlanta because tax incentives and cheaper labor have been stealing productions from LA. And of course T.Perry exists there
From music standpoint, i wouldnt even mention ATL, but opt for memphis. Atlanta is only home to one type of music, and few people go there specifically for Atlanta music culture. Compare this to Memphis which not only has a vibrant past and recent rap history, but also rock, soul, country, jazz, rockandRoll, etc. There is music history all over the place that people soley visit memphis for.
