:sas2:.....I've said several times these DNA/ancestry test gone bring out the Return of the "5 Dollar Indian"...
ESPECIALLY if any scent of reparations.....

Tyler a WASP from Knoxville, TN never claimed black in 45 years will be wearing a dashiki and Jordans, showing up at summertime Frankie Beverly and Maze concert at the Baltimore waterfront amphitheater ...to get them reparation "paymenents"....after he find 2% West African and 3% North African DNA.

Is it lineage based or race based?

The criteria to qualify for Reparations per Prof Darity.

1. An individual would have to provide reasonable documentation that they had at least one ancestor who was enslaved in the United States.

2. An individual would have to demonstrate that at least 10 years prior to the onset of any Reparations program they self-identified as black, African-American, colored or Negro on a legal document.

Darity says Reparations creates a premium for being "black" (now ADOS) that previously did not exist. Individuals who previously did not identify as ADOS will now have incentive to so. He included number 2 as another way to limit Reparations to those who suffered the negative effects being black in a social and legal sense that is more provable.

My grandma passed last year at 89. They from SC. It’s 2020 and it’s still dirt roads out there. At night it gets DARK. They got 2 barbershops in town right next to each other. One for white folk and the other for black people

What does race have to do with Ethnicity? Is the Biracial person ADOS or not?

Race is the reason why we need reparations in the first place

This context is what created the lineage of FBA/Ados
Fukk you mean what it got to do with it

I noted I'm aware from the jump. Again, it gets murky when it's lineage based, yet there's race based criteria. Race isn't what it matters for Africans/Caribbeans, it's lineage-- yet race matters again if it's a White person? That's tryna have it one way, they're still a byproduct of slavery. Matta fact let's take a different approach:

For all intents and purposes, we're a looong way off from this happening. The Supreme Court, Congress, and the public aren't ready-- But let's say some lineage-based policy comes about in the interim (much more likely for the current climate). You're saying people in this year's Census could identify and they're good? They just need to opt-in on time? If that's the case I'd imagine they have ample time.
