Well of course without the Eminem song there wouldnt be a context. That's why it's called a reference. Noone is saying Em doesn't deserve any credit for the term. But the question is who deserves MORE credit for the term being used the way it's used today. Nas turned a character in a song into a noun used to diss someone. Or insult them. He made the term what it is TODAY. Eminem provided the backdrop. Nas gave it the main stage treatment. Eminem himself didn't use it as a noun.
