Who do yall ladies feed first

Kids, if they are very young, like 1-5, will likely be served first.

I once heard a man being counseled by a couple. Can you belive he was livid coz his wife had given the kids "choice" pieces of a bird at dinner. He felt as a the main breadwinner he was entitled to those choice peices. I was disgusted. It took a lot of will power to just shut my mouth and mind my business, lol.

Our kids are still small and bratty and my husband isnt hung up on being served first. I dont think he cares, I will keep an eye out for any kind of reaction.

I dont think i have ever encountered real life drama specifically about the order food comes in.

But i guess different homes have different procedures?

Should be husbands 1st but women these days will say there kids or themselves while expecting a man to still abide by "manly" standards.

As long as the man isn't taking food out of anyone mouth 1st and isn't some chump or fling you doing it wrong if everyone is eating at the same time and you not fixing your man a plate 1st.


It really be the little things that add up over time.


yall acting like you giving the last of the food to the man. It's plenty of food to go around feeding the man 1st is the "respectable" thing to do.

At 1st, i said the man eats 1st... he is the Family representative, king, leader...
I dropped the mic and walked away like I was right... and i was right, if this was 1930... lol
This day and age women go out there and buss their ass at work, come home clean house, and help raise kids..,
A man isn't in the same position in the household as in the past...
So shyttt... he gets no King of the house privileges like hes the only one putting the food on the table, keeping lights on and shyt...
So imo, the answer is, it depends on the dynamic in the house.

Yeah man I don't get it either, as a head of household I make sure everyone eats before I do but I'm contrarian like that and always go against the grain.

I understand why some do, it just never sat well with me. If nobody else in the house eats, the kids are eating first without question.

Grew up in a home where my dad did most of the cooking AND he made $$$ 4 times what my mother did...

My thoughts are, as long as there's more than enough to go around, why frame it as a potential battle/conflict?

My dad made his own plate after usually cooking the food n there were no problems that i can remember.

West Indies, born n raised in a house where his father was a cane worker n his mother kept the house for their 9 kids.
She served my grandfather hand and foot to hear relatives tell it, but my dad couldn't care less when it was his own household.

When you've been dirt ass poor in the damn 3rd world, once you got plenty, its just "lets eat" i guess.

Me personally, I've offended and embarrassed company by being too independent at times.... But i legit don't care.

I get real fussy about presentation so i take care of it myself, if im able.

I was dealing with a women recently that would serve me 1st... alil older than me...
cant front... She fukked me up for any other potential mate...That is a must now...
She usually does this at home, but 1 time we were at a hotel with the continental breakfast, and she got everything for me... and she put all my shyt together. then made her shyt. i waited til she sat down. then we ate...
