While 50 may have revolutionized the mixtape scene, Gucci ran with it and is showing us today just how important it is in this internet age.
On the other hand, 50's albums generally fared better with the critics than did Gucci's, and 50 has undoubtedly been much more of a commercial success.
Both are the respective heads of their camps, have brought in numerous artists to the game, and have been in the game for roughly the same amount of time.
Both have had controversies from which they drew a lot and incorporated into their music (50 getting shot, Gucci's murder charge). Moreover, the two are certainly not scared of a publicized beef, and will rap about their beefs any chance they get.
Most importantly, both have a very solid fanbase on this site, and I'm very curious to see what The Coli thinks of this issue.
