They both been finished since 09 tho I think Tip and Wop are better at finding talent than Jeezy too

Fall from grace, kinda like how Jada was hyped as the second coming of BIG until he dropped his first studio album back in 01, which knocked him down a few notches. Gucci been restricted to a street artist since then.

I say the greatest overachiever in recent times is Kendrick. He dropped his album back in 2012, and still has people talking about him and the "Control" verse. If anything, he gotten even sharper on the mic AND gotten more famous .

I wouldn't say Kendrick is an overachiever, that nikka is nice and makes dope songs he earned his fame but game does come 2 mind I haven't really felt his shyt in a min and people seem 2 still check for him

Imagine being a dude in the early 00s that wore fitted polos, vests, and fitted clothes that is from the burbs that was in an environment filled with super thugged out rappers like Beans, Bleek, and so on.

Imagine how no rapper at the time rapped liked you and everyone accused you of being "white washed" because you didn't conform to hood standards?

Now Imagine that the label head and your surrogate daddy in music passed up your music because it wasn't marketable and was "too different."

Imagine winning the respect of everyone, from Hip Hop heads, to street dudes, to legit musicians, with that style?

Ye had every reason to quit and every reason to conform, but he stuck to it and he had a hell of a run.

Yeah, it was like all odds were stacked against Kanye to succeed, but he overcame them all. For that, I respect him. Not only that, but dude was releasing songs like "Jesus Walks" and "All Falls Down" and both were successful in the midst of Crunk music and G-Unit dominating Hip Hop at the time. Then he went up against the biggest machine in Hip Hop by going up against 50 Cent and came out on top.
