He said "name a player that was better than McKie coming off the bench during this time"

:manny:

If I'm talking about when McKie won 6th man, if the majority of the convo in this thread is about the team AI had in 2001. Why would you think I meant any other timeframe besides 2001?

Stick to other forums. How do you forget that Robinson was on the Bucks?

you're talking stupid thinking that u know everthing :rudy:

having Big Dog doesnt mean they have a great frontcourt because he more of a backcourt player than anything. He doesnt give the Buck interior defense or anything like that. As NBA fans, we view teams frontcourt by who they have at the C and PF positions and those were the positions that the 01 Bucks lacked. Why do you think all the NBA analysts alway clown about the Heat's frontcourt play when knowing that they have LeBron? Or the THunder's frontcourt knowing that they have Durant?

u too stupid to know that shyt anyway. :aicmon:

The majority of the conversation was not based around one year. It's based around the careers of T-Mac and Iverson where most people were discussing T-Mac's time in Orlando vs. AI in Philly.

:heh: right. Trying to save face. Ok bruh.

Yeah I dont buy that "garbage" squad.... They had the 6th man of the year in Aaron Mckie, mutumbo, and Snow was a good defender...

He also had Theo Ratliff for half of the year. Compared to the other teams out East in 01 Iverson had a great supporting cast.

East was garbage back then. Its not like he was going through great teams.

:laff:

Yall trying to hard man. Mutumbo was a 10 year vet and WAYYYY past his prime...

And Eric Snow? :lolbron:

With all that being said, I'm taking prime T-Mac

Fair enough. All my posts in this thread have been in regards to the "AI carried bums in 2001" debate, so I thought we were on the same page

LeBron is a 10 year vet this season :duck:

Mutombo was still the best defender in the NBA, 2nd best rounder, still averaged 14/14/3 and 16ppg against Shaq in the Finals in the post season so he couldn't be that old.

was he really that much worse in 2001 than he was in his prime :dahell:

Duncan is 37 in his 16th season but are we saying "Tony parker aint got nobody to play with"?

I'm starting to think you were born in the 90s...What kind of logic is this....

You ever seen Mutumbo play. I doubt it. He was passed his prime by then, without question...

And any cat who has watched the game long enough should know that guys back then were doing 4 years of college and then going into the draft...

Mutumbo was probably 34 compared to a 28 year old Lebron after 10 years...

Again. Yall trying too hard.....

A.I. and Larry Brown made that ish work in Philly

just the fact that u even brought that up was fukking retarded. Players play beyond that all the time in the league at a high level all the time.

for the record, Mutombo was already in his mid 20's while entering the league just like Rodman and Bruce Bowen and both were player well at 34.

he wasn't in his peak but wasn't dropping 30 a game or anything like that.. he would give u 14/15/4 in his prime instead of 14/14/3 which he did in 01

The 2001 Sixers were built just like the mid 90s Pacers were built with Larry Brown. A one dimensional scorer surrounded by 4 very good to great defenders. Iverson was very fortunate that year, thats why the good vibes only lasted one year. As basketball players he couldnt touch Tracy McGrady. Id love to see how Iverson would have done with Darrell Armstrong, Andrew DeClercq and Gordan Giricek. Ha.

Hey Man, this comment kind kills your initial argument.....

Mutumbo was past his prime!!!!! Its not debatable. If I remember correctly, Shaq punished Mutumbo for like 30 and 15 on 60% shooting....

Mutumbo's lateral quickness that was needed to protect the paint had evaporated...

And stop plucking meaningless stats out of nowhere. 4 out of those 14 points during the finals probably came when the game was out reach...

And, if I aint mistaken, Ty Hill and Matt Geiger were in the playoff rotation....

I said TY HILL and MATT FREAKING GEIGER.

I could be wrong, but miss with that B.S. that Alan had a good squad...

It was average at best....

AI had a better career..T-Mac had a better peak. In their primes though I'd choose T-Mac.
