this man really thinks 01 Horry was better than McKie that year. :sadcam:

stick to football.

Horry averaged 5/4 on 39% that year, why the fukk are we talking about him?

Younger ppl will choose TMac the answer is AI tho

TMac came out a year after Iverson. The same generation watched them play.

TMac never really did shyt in the playoffs

The year the Sixers went to the Finals TMac averaged 34/8/7.

The second best player on his team was Darrell Armstrong though. His front court was Bo Outlaw and Andrew DeClerq. That year they lost to the Bucks team that took the Sixers to 7.

:mindblown:

Allen Iverson is arguably one of the greatest scorers EVER in the league..saying something like i bolded shows your lack of NBA knowledge

He was inefficient as hell most of the time though. He shot 26 times a game the year they went to the finals. 28 times a game the year after on less than 40% from the field.

And so is Tmac. Tmac is better or just as good as Iverson at everything besides dribbling

Bottom line is you can put up numbers and be a loser, or you can put up numbers that mean something and win the game for your team like AI did. TMac would be the loser in this scenario. You even put in your post that AI's team beat a team that Tmacs couldnt

Tmac had a good 5 years or so, AI had a good career and impacted the game way more.

Because AI's team was better.

They could win in games like game 1 where AI shot 13-35 because Mckie gave them 23 and Mutumbo had 18 boards and 4 blocks.

They lost game 2 with AI shooting 5-26, but even then McKie put up 21 and Mutumbo had 20 boards and

Pat Garrity was kinda nice tho

He shot less than 39% that year

John Amaechi and Declerq were the starting centers that year.

Amaechi shot 40%, Declerq averaged 4ppg :scusthov:

But AI had to deal with a young Ratliff and Mutumbo winning the DPOY.

Tmac had him on his squad starting as a 40+ year old center. Didn't nobody have accolades on his teams besides yao. All his starting teammates wouldn't start nowhere else

AI was my guy back in the day but at some point you gotta grow up and be realistic. T-Mac was Kobe East for a couple years there. The only reason he's not more recognized or accomplished is because he was one of the most unfortunate superstars ever. AI was one lightning in a bottle ass run in 01 from having the exact same playoff fate as TMac. nikkas forget that AI never made it out of the first round again after that Finals. He didn't carry a team full of scrubs he was the designated scorer/chucker on a great defensive team. nikkas forget that 6ers managed to compete in the ECF game that he sat out. As the Bulls showed us this year, a great defensive team is gonna hang around and will be hard to beat in the playoffs. AI's legend is bolstered by that one season, his size, and his "realness/street cred". If you take the "rose colored that's my undersized scoring champion that me and my nikkas grew up on" :to: glasses off the choice is pretty easy.

Scoring isn't the only aspect in basketball.

The Sixers didn't have many scorers but they were built like that on for a reason. Iverson was never a team player offensively so they just put defenders around them that don't mind giving the ball up to him for his shot jacking.
