It's still Mike easilyIf we are factoring every single year like that then the number 1 player can't be Mike, as he missed damn near 3 full seasons. I gotta go with Dream.
The GOAT is exempt by default. Six titles is six titles.![]()
It's still Mike easily
I don't think I did? Even with missing whatever years in the 90s, he's easily the most accomplished player of the decadeYou missed my point.
It is and you're free to say Hakeem. So by that same logic, wouldn't 2 rings be 2 rings?
I don't see what kareem has to do with the 90s, but continue with thisThe GOAT is exempt by default.

I'm using it because that could make a difference between choosing Hakeem or Malone. We know Dream got two titles, but it was also while MJ was away. The titles are obviously a big asterisk, but Malone was the second most accomplished player of the decade.Right and I wasn't questioning his status as number 1. I was questioning the "every year" argument and Mike is a perfect example as to why that isn't the best criteria.
Jordan ruins every basketball related discussion when it comes to "best". Every topic should disclaim MJ![]()
You do know the Rockets never played the Bulls in a series right?Keem. Shaq really didn't hit his prime until the 2000 season even though he was a beast. If Jordan didn't exist we'd talk about Keem having 3-4 rings.
