Right, and what #s are we suppose to be looking at when it comes to the defensive end?Karl Malones
Neither even played until 1996 and bean didn't do shyt until the following yearWhere Kobe or A.I.?
Those aint bad either.Right, and what #s are we suppose to be looking at when it comes to the defensive end?![]()
My point is, there aren't any box score #s to accurately measure one's defensive impact. Even if we took Hakeem's historically-high block averages (and steals too), it still doesn't really paint a clear enough picture of how much impact he had on that end. Taking into account both sides of the floor is paramount when comparing big men. Those aint bad either.
What about durability? Malone played nearly every game in the 90s and averaged about 27/10 throughout.Right, and what #s are we suppose to be looking at when it comes to the defensive end?![]()
Again, it would only factor into it if he had the same or similar impact, or if there's a significant margin between the games they played which held Hakeem back from being mentioned in this conversation in the first place - I mean it's not like he's Penny. From '90-'97 he only had ONE season where he played less than 70+ games. What about durability? Malone played nearly every game in the 90s and averaged about 27/10 throughout.
Hakeem missed quite a few games.
I'm fukking lost too![]()
