I'd go with Melo because I think he's a more dynamic and dangerous player. He can go for 40+ points which is statistically proven to be devastating if the team with the scorer can play defense. Melo in a tough offensive group like Chicago would have been in the finals this year IMO

In a perfect world, neither player should be criticized because they don't have the right teammates or their teammates don't perform.
We/everybody criticizes all these top 5/10 players in the league when things go wrong, when they don't succeed etc etc...... why is it CP0 doesn't get criticized like Melo does, yet they basically have had the same success in their careers? Why does he get pass after pass after every season, somebody of his caliber and stature when those same passes aren't afforded to anyone else? Why is he constantly heralded as a top 3/5 player, and Melo sometimes not even in the top 10? Why does Melo get labelled as a ball hog and CP0 doesn't?
What I'm saying is, if passes can be given to CP0 then you do the same for Melo. If you shyt on Melo for not getting his team over a certain hump, you do the same for CP0. They should be treated the same, but they're not.

Its not like the Clips FO has the greatest track record and they have this "most stacked team" that wasnt shyt til CP3 got there. That's pretty much the most stacked team a so called 'top 5' player can have in the league.
I'm not saying it's so easy to replace his production, i said it's EASIER to replace his production than replacing Melo's production, because THERE'S MORE ELITE PGS IN THE LEAGUE THAN THERE'S WINGS....... at this point you're just playing dumb. That's why i'd pick Melo, because there's an incredible amount of guard depth in the league. I'd be more confident taking my chances filling the guard position if i missed out on CP0, than taking my chances looking for an elite wing.

There isn't. It's just empty rhetoric to prop up another player over another. Baron Davis utilized Griffin better than CP0 did over the same given period, yet hardly anybody would go out and say...... CP0 needs to make his teammates better like Davis does. Plus lets be honest here, Melo is a fukkin wing player, he's not asked to set up his teammates like CP0 has to. It's stupid even using that against him. If I said, CP0 doesn't score like Melo does, you'd be the same idiot to suggest... but that's not CP0's primary job to score.... he's a point guard.

a great player makes others around him better just by being on the court.
leadership, basketball IQ, determination, will... these things aren't a myth. there's more to the game than what shows up on a stat sheet.
