I do like the idea that I'd be able to play my games on another tv without having to get another system....since I'm getting a larger hd, I might start buying games digitally, so this would def be a nice accessory to go along with that...so I'm not committed to buying, but I'm def intrigued...

and like another poster asked: I wonder if I'd be able to buy and play vita games on this without owning a vita?...cause there are a couple vita games I'd like to play, but I don't want a vita...

Sony announced that this thing was releasing this year for 99 bucks... I haven't seen much talk about it on here, so I'll make the thread on it because I think this thing could be a viable option for plenty of gamers in here.

Pics:

Specs:
- Price = 99$
- compatible with Dualshock 3 & 4 controllers
- HDMI, Ethernet, USB ports (along with Sony's Vita memory cards )
- Bluetooth 2.1 support
- WiFi 802.11n
- 1GB RAM
- video outputs 720p or 1080i
- Quad-Core processor (similar to PS Vita)

Only negative I see about this thing so far is it only outputting 1080i, but I don't think that's a deal breaker for all of the other features that it has and the price point is lovely IMO.

If you game and are in the market for a streaming box, why wouldn't you get this over a Roku or AppleTV? I really want to see how seamless it is while using it with a PS4 though. Also... If we go by the list of apps that Sony currently has on PS3/PS4/Vita I think it should be pretty competitive with the other boxes out there unless there are some exclusive deals out there that we don't know about.

Thoughts?

First off, the PS4 isn't a better option than a Roku when it comes to features, so fukk a PSTV :laff:
The features of this PSTV are fluke bruh. Remote play on another TV in 1080i
Tell me something bruh, why would you need to remote it to ANOTHER TV when you can play it via the original TV in 1080p :mindblown:

I peeped the video, thought it would be split screen. It only does the same screen. :scusthov:

So I honestly don't understand the idea behind this thing. The option to pay to stream old games?
That's better than A Roku that is half the price but has a ton more featuers including allowing you to watch stuff off of a USB. Something sony blocks. Yeah, I'll pass

I'm interested. And $99 isn't bad when you know Microsoft would be asking at least $199 for some shyt like this.:mjlol:

I'll simplify it even further.

Somebody has a house with multiple rooms/floors. They have a PS4 in 1 room on 1 TV. If they want to be able to play or use their PS4 in another room...but don't want to buy another PS4 for 400 dollars, they can buy a PSTV and do so that way for 100$.

What's hard to understand?

The need to spend $100 when they could just unplug the "tiny" PS4 and bring the plug
The other TV would already have an HDMI cord just waiting for the transfer
Let's not get into things like Resolution gate, because this thing only does 1080i
And we both know that isn't acceptable in this day n age. That is straight up Blasphemous White Vibes

I was about to ask you the same thing White Vibes :beli:

I think its cooler to hook up your PS4 to that same TV. Its like saying "Instead of hooking up your PS4 to this TV, pay $100 and you can remote play it"
Why when its the same screen :wtf:

Sorry to break this to you, but Xbox One has been DLNA compliant since day one bruh
I watch all my movies on there. Peep the "bon appetit thread if you want details on how to properly feast on XB1

Can you own more than one in a household, I'll need to see the apps available first but I'd buy one for my bedroom and my daughters bedroom as well.

Some people have intricate entertainment system setups. I'm not unplugging my PS4 just to move it for a few hours.

The PS Now integration will make or break this device IMO. Sony also needs to get all the necessary media apps on this thing as well.
