Whose career is honestly the most disappointing- CP3, D12 OR Melo?

Yes he was. You had plenty of folks arguing that he was the better of the two early on.

Exactly. Most of that was based off the fact that they were considered so close in their rookie years and some argued (foolishly) that Melo should've won ROY in 03. After that season Melo and Bron were never seen as equals but the media wanted a rivalry

That's the retarded part. Bron is a once in a lifetime player who is used to slight Melo who is the classic great SF along the lines of Dantley, Aguirre, Gervin, King and others

No excuses. Kobe is a great player but we still credit Iverson. Jordan was great but we still credit Reggie and Clyde drexler.

Howard should have been the next dominant big man and seemed to have the tools

Cp3 and Melo seem to have utilized their talents to the fullest. Just never won

La clippers just had to fight against spurs, mavs, gsw, okc ....if they were in the east they'd been a top 2 team

I don't recall Melo having the same expectations tied to him from SI, ESPN following his HS games or as such.

You're making shyt up now giving the obscure "plenty of folks" as seat at the table. It's similar to how heads overrate the 90s. Just because you orbit ones atmosphere (MJ, Lebron) suddenly the players around them are overrated by being around

Melo is the answer

Dwight carried the master of panic Stan and shytty defensive squad to multiple 50 win seasons and the best defense in the league. Multiple all star/dpoy and a final appearance. His back surgery killed his career since he lost a lot of agility thus he struggled with the Lakers. Hell he was great in the post season for the rockets.

Cp3 is has at least been to the playoffs every year in a tough conference granted he's lost earlier then he should.

Melo is the most dissapointing Bron and wade told him to wait and sign that 3 year deal but melo had to have the money so bosh joined and won 2 chips that could a been melos

Only person making things up is the one trying to act like Melo wasn't held up was the guy that was supposed to be Bron's rival before they entered the league. If you are gonna sit here and act like that didn't happen then I don't know what to tell you.

No dog.

Melo didn't come to the league shoulder to shoulder with Bron.

A handful of heads doesn't change that. That's all you hyping them now.

I hate when folks give 6% a sudden 50% seat at the table for arguments sake.

They weren't peers nor had the same expectations

I specifically said "win in the playoffs". :dahell: Melo has the third WORST playoff winning percentage for any player with 50 or more career playoff games. Learn to read next time

Nah, the media was making Melo his rival on some Bird/Magic shyt. Melo definitely had those expectations early on but def not like LeBron.

No one was baptized the kings but Melo and Lenny cooke both had huge expectations. Hell I remember hoopscooponline at the time even making a case that Melo was clearly the best player in hs

And many people thought he'd be the better pro...

I'm reading this thread like :dahell: Are yall negroes crazy? It's easily BarfMelo, CP3 has had a way better career in less time in the league

CP3: 9X All Star
4X All NBA 1st Team
3X All NBA 2nd Team
1X All NBA 3rd Team
6X All NBA Defense 1st Team
2X All NBA Defense 2nd Team
Rookie of the Year
All Star Game MVP
4X Assist Leader
6X Steals Leader

LardMelo:

10X NBA All Star
2X All NBA Second Team
4X All NBA Third Team
1 time scoring champ

For Melo to be considered "the best pure scorer in the NBA" for so many years yet to only have 1 scoring title is pathetic. No All NBA First Team appearances, one of the worst playoff winning percentage at 34% (with a career record of 22-42) and hasn't made the playoffs since the 2013-2014 season. He clearly has had the most disappointing career, it's not even close
shyt is a no brainer. Melo is mad overrated.
