Whose career is honestly the most disappointing- CP3, D12 OR Melo?

Nah, the media was making Melo his rival on some Bird/Magic shyt. Melo definitely had those expectations early on but def not like LeBron.
Bron came in the better talent. They were not viewed as equal talents. Media didn't even dress it that way.

That sounds like Stephen A's hot take. And that ain't stop Isiah and A.I. from accomplishing more and a lot of people rank CP3 above them cats. Facts are CP3 reputation is miles ahead of his achievements.

That said, I think its Melo. He had more talent than the other two and should have did more.

The first part got you dapped :ehh: The second part got you negged :usure: You broke even

1. Dwight
2. Melo
3. Paul

No one expected CP3 to have the career that he's had coming out of Wake. Especially considering who he was drafted behind.

Melo was and always will be overshadowed by Bron. It's disappointing how big the gap between their careers grew over the years, but Melo still was a beast offensively. Melo just lacks the athleticism and extra drive that Bron and Kobe had.

Dwight was the #1 pick for the Magic with big expectations. Dwight was expected to be the next dominant big. Even though he was great defensively, he didn't lived up to the hype. He was consistent on offense and never developed his offensive game to the extent that he and everyone else had hoped. It's a shame he couldn't build off and continue his level of play from the '09 playoffs. That Eastern Conference Finals series was Dwight at his best.

Melo made his fukking bed by forcing himself to a gutted Knicks team. What the fukk were The Clippers before CP3 started playing for them? I'll wait. He single handedly made that team relevant nationally and not the laughing stock of the sports world. And don't tell me that Melo didn't have talent in Denver because he did. CP3's best teammate in NO was David West.

No dog.

Melo didn't come to the league shoulder to shoulder with Bron.

A handful of heads doesn't change that. That's all you hyping them now.

I hate when folks give 6% a sudden 50% seat at the table for arguments sake.

They weren't peers nor had the same expectations

Bron had higher expectations and more hype AND Melo was still cast as his peer and rival once he won that chip at Syracuse. The Bron vs Melo shyt was pushed and a legit convo until Bron clearly separated himself. How many non-peers get put on TV together alongside the biggest rivals in NBA history?

To act as if it was a just couple people here or there having that convo is the revisionism.

Like I said...playing in someone's orbit doesn't mean you were viewed as an equal talent.

They played each other in HS. They shared the same stage as in that photo...expectations the same? Nope.

At no point was Melo viewed as an equal talent to Bron. Again, Bron's skill set was always head and shoulders above Melos.

Bron just comes on the scene, Melo is viewed differently.

Don't even argue with old head.

I think he's right if he's saying more people thought LeBron was clear better but he's articulating like there weren't others saying Melo would be better. It was a bird vs Magic argument at that time
