It’s common courtesy not to show up at establishments 10-15 minutes before closing time. That old man plus the other workers been standing on their feet all day, they deserve to go home for the day. Try ordering from a fast food place/restaurant minutes before closing time and tell me how it taste and looks when you get it, not gonna be the best quality and for good reason.

Also, lol @ going to the supervisor, that always used to crack me up. Not even 9, 10 times out of 10 that supervisor typically don’t give a shyt either. They both shyt on you when you leave and laugh about it.

That isn't the point. She didn't show up with one package that needed to go out...She came in with 10 minutes left until close with a large volume of packages. That's in the same vein as me walking into a restaurant with a party of 8 right before close expecting to be served with a smile. Sure...I'm within business hours, but it doesn't make it right. Not only that it highlights a clear lack of social awareness.
Not the same at all

Nah I'm on the post office side here.

I don't believe in going to ANY business right before they close.
And the man seemed to be annoyed but respectful.

The lady was recording ...for what? To get him fired? It's not like he was being verbally abusive. He wasn't being violent.
Lady just wanted to go viral for likes and shares.

Goofy.
That fed life :wow:

Dummies(not you) don’t realize it’s damn near impossible to get fired unless you severely fukking up.

All that complaining cuz he ain’t kissing your ass like a salesman don’t work. Lol

....
It won’t kill them to leave at 7:30

At the same time she’s wrong for having so many packages and coming so late …

I used to work at a restaurant and hated when people came in 2hrs before closing because that usually meant we had to spend another 2hrs cleaning up before we can go home.

The customer is a hoe for that but I'm on their side because business is business, if they're open until 7pm, they're open until 7pm.

I personally wounded do that to anyone because that's a hoe move
Did you just say 2 hours before closing

Sorry but foh

Is it stupid and rude to go into a place like that (or a restaurant) right before they close? Yes. Doesn’t excuse being rude to your customers. He knows he’s not getting fired since it’s a state or federal job/union lol.

A computer lab is different than a grocery store or something like where people have to cash out and there may be lines. Mans said we close doors at 6:30. Tf outta here :pachaha:

lol @ trying that 7:01 shyt at a Costco. Your ass would be fired bceveryone would walk out without paying

If your spot closes at 7 you are not off at 7. The common denominator to all fukked up customer service is people trying to make their jobs something it aint. You do not work a 9-5. You have tasks to complete AFTER the store is closed. Mfers try to skirt that by shortening the time the store is open.
:russ: Thank you
It’s sad the majority of responses is agreeing with him :mjlol: unprofessional as a mf, you think Home Depot going to just close their doors at 8:37 if they close at 9pm? How would that work in a functional and orderly society, stores just closing at random times when they want

I can almost assure you if his tour of duty ended at 7 he does not have to stay :russ:

He’s being nice to the customer as that little bit of OT or credit ain’t moving the needle.

People always have different expectations when it comes to you doing a job for them as opposed to them doing their own job.

nikkas know they done working in earnest an hour before it’s time for them to go, yet they will show up to someone else’s job and expect them to work with vigor until the last second.
:russ:This a goddamn fact! I work till 5pm but you best believe when I see 3:55 i'm checked out. Of course I work in IT but if I look at my email after walking out, there is someone trying to get ASAP service when they know 5pm hits and we are GONE. Not closing up, GONE. I don't go anywhere just before closing unless its literally a painless transaction. If I have a 10am type of transaction, i'm not gonna show up minutes before closing.

imagine how different the world would be if he just said "you made it right on time, how can i help you" :wow:
Yeah, this isn't Japan, fam. They'd gladly stay later to help out customers. Americans are underpaid, and you can't seriously expect someone to be happy that someone showed up JUST before closing time.

Closing time isn't necessarily when people get off. They might need to do extra work in the back, and people like her are cutting into his time.
