a lot of People think "closed at 7pm" means, they will finish any and all unfinished transactions as long as you enter the building prior to 6:59.
If you operate by this logic, you never really close at 7. You actually close at like 7:15, 7:30 ect etc.

I used to work at a computer lab, and we let people know at 6:30pm that we don't "close at 7" we "finish closing at 7" big difference. means at 7:01 lights are off.

we would also lock the doors at 6:30 though which i think was his mistake.

I went after work (that PO closes at 5) so I’m out of work at 4 and get there around 430-445.

I’m only trying to pick up shyt thst they SAID they attempted to drop off (they didn’t, I was home all weekend) and it was shyt I shipped when I moved so I already been waiting for a few weeks.

So I had nothing that actually REQUIRED them to do, I just wanted to pick up the shyt they claimed they tried to deliver (this happened multiple times too.. idk whats up with delivery drivers in Texas, but they’ve been garbage to me).

So there’s another line for people picking up shyt because I guess the drivers there been fukking up A LOT because that line is long.

So basically they tell me to let people know that they are no longer accepting anymore people and I’m like “Negro I don’t work here”. Eventually someone comes and locks the door and they let people know they are closing and it is what it is.

Yeah I would’ve been pissed if they had locked the doors but because of their fukkups already, but I’m not pulling my camera out, throwing a bunch of packages at them with no addressing, and being disrespectful if that happens either.

A computer lab is different than a grocery store or something like where people have to cash out and there may be lines. Mans said we close doors at 6:30. Tf outta here

If your spot closes at 7 you are not off at 7. The common denominator to all fukked up customer service is people trying to make their jobs something it aint. You do not work a 9-5. Okay, even if I was on her side, which I'm not, she lost me at filming him. Why does everything these days need to get filmed, like she's a journalist on the front line of the Gaza strip or some shyt. Back in my day we just hashed it out and moved on with our lives, the rest is all unnecessary

I work for USPS. At Small Stations if you close at 5, YOU have to sort the mail, be clocked out and lock the store up by 5:30. There are some where you are the only employee, you close when on Lunch and Breaks, and there is NO Overtime at those type of Stations.

At bigger Stations you have plenty of help during the day and an overnight shift to help set up for the mornings. I implore people to choose working at smaller Stations. You know most of the customers and will rarely run into this kind of mess.

The one I go to by my house, there is a Clerk who only helps Customers picking up packages or have questions about a Service, and another Clerk encouraging customers to use the self checkout and also assisting them. Not all do this though.

I know in the past Clerks were timed maximum of 3 Minutes per Customer. For better or worse.
