If I was the worker, I'd be a bit annoyed. But who knows about her life. Maybe that's the only time of day she had to do it. Still hella annoyed, but I try to understand.

And this is coming from a guy who's worked retail for almost a decade and has seen customers come in 10 minutes before closing, with an empty buggy, acting like they got a whole hour to shop lol. Acting like they didn't hear the announcements over the PA system about the store closing for the night

There's not enough info off the strength of the video to make a determination either way.

During the video old bro said it just turned 7. So I'm assuming that's the time they close, maybe.

If that's so, then he shouldn't have had a problem servicing anyone that was in that building before hand. No matter how long it takes to complete their transactions.

I've literally worked the window before.
If a line starts to form. You would probably lock the doors 10mins before having to close.
Cause it's still gonna take you a little time to close out your register

Some places are rough to work at....but me and my nikkaz loved working the window and just flirting with the women and being overly nice to people in general

Okay, even if I was on her side, which I'm not, she lost me at filming him. Why does everything these days need to get filmed, like she's a journalist on the front line of the Gaza strip or some shyt. Back in my day we just hashed it out and moved on with our lives, the rest is all unnecessary
Because she was trying to be extra and get dude doxxed online.

If the place is open until 7, then service should be given with respect if they are in the building by 6:59.

:hubie:

Yeah, she could have come in earlier, but you don’t know what her schedule was like.

Nope. If people leave a a certain time respect them. This only happens to service workers. The customer should have gave themselves enough time. A shop has close up procedure and clean up time. The customer is cutting into all that. It's not on him to give a fukk about her schedule when she doesn't care about his :skip:

The customer is not always right. fukk entitlement.

If you’re open until 7 PM that means I have until 7 PM to get there. I may be the greatest customer on earth who just happened to not be able to make it in store until 6:59 & this is how you treat me? fukk that :camby:
Breh wtf does that even mean. He ain't paid on commission, fukk all yall customers :dead:

i dont mind helping people a few minutes before closing if theyre decent about it. i dont believe the customer is always right, but im not a bitter a$$hole either. i hook people up with deals all the time if theyre cool. fukk corporate and their profits. :pacspit:
I worked at Grainger for five years. Our doors stayed open until 5pm. If you come in at 4:59, I had to help you until we are finished. That’s OT for me so I didn’t care.
:pachaha:
My boss hated it and offered to comp me on Friday. Some weeks id take it but most of the time I took the money.
:skip:
I enjoyed my job and choppin it up with customers though.

I'm usually with the customer but I can definitely understand the business side of things. I remember at my last job I worked with a crew contracted to a large retail office to handle their printing/shipping. Our area was open from 6a-8p though the majority of the building worked 8-5 (I did as well). One night, I'm closing since my co-worker called off. It's 7:50 (I've been there since 8am) and this goofy cac shows up at the counter asking about a print request that our respective bosses previously talked about weeks ago. Now they need the shyt by the end of the week (it's Wednesday). I know nothing of this request so I tell him that my boss will be back in tomorrow at 8. Cac proceeds to keep asking questions and I don't leave until like 8:30. :martin:
Since we shipped hundreds of packages daily (USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL), we would always inform our customers to have their stuff ready to go by 4:30 so it could be processed in time. The couriers could pick up any time between 5 & 8pm (our building was usually one of their last stops). If customers had a bunch to go out, bring that shyt sooner. There were plenty of times in the 8 yrs. I worked there where that didn't happen though. :francis:

In the case with this woman, I think she was being an impatient bytch and antagonizing OG. It's very telling of her to whip out that phone and record to put him on blast. :manny:

I work for USPS. At Small Stations if you close at 5, YOU have to sort the mail, be clocked out and lock the store up by 5:30. There are some where you are the only employee, you close when on Lunch and Breaks, and there is NO Overtime at those type of Stations.

At bigger Stations you have plenty of help during the day and an overnight shift to help set up for the mornings. I implore people to choose working at smaller Stations. You know most of the customers and will rarely run into this kind of mess.

The one I go to by my house, there is a Clerk who only helps Customers picking up packages or have questions about a Service, and another Clerk encouraging customers to use the self checkout and also assisting them. Not all do this though.

I know in the past Clerks were timed maximum of 3 Minutes per Customer. For better or worse.
