I don't think it's a situation where there's a clear front-runner. If I had to make a top five, it would probably look like this.

1. Stafford
2. Maye
3. Taylor
4. Darnold
5. Hurts (Adding him as I don't want the Philly mob crying)

Edit: This is not the order that I think the MVP voting ends up after the season.

should easily be stafford at the moment. then JT/Josh Allen/Hurts/Maye below.

patty smoked his case and has a lot to do to rebound after that performance & L.

wouldnt be surprised if hurts is number 1 in 2 weeks after these packers and lions games also :sas2:

-Stafford and Darnold both play in the NFC West that looks like a battle right now, so there's a lot of value there if both QB's continue to play well.

-I think when the Bills come to Foxborough, that could be a deciding factor. If the Patriots win and Maye plays well, that will look massive on his resume for this season. If the Bills win and Allen plays well, I would guess he'll likely be a front-runner for MVP after that game as he'll have some big wins on the season.

It's a long season and anything can happen, but I don't see a clear leader.

I think Mahomes still has a decent chance. The Chiefs still play the Colts, Chargers, and then the Broncos twice. He'll get some credit for the way that division is looking right now with it being tough if he can sweep those games.

Hurts should do well against a fraudulent Packers team and a Lions team that lost to McCarthy. Anything other than two wins and big statistical games would be a disappointment.:lolbron:.

As Record matters, as do big games, it’s kinda hard to say mid way. When some guys only have two big games, and are ½ in them.

But from a shortlist of Stafford, Baker, Hurts, Maye, Goff and Josh Allen. Hell Mahomes, Jones and Darnold too.

I’d say Stafford. But one impressive win thus far vs the colts. So if he has impressive performances against Seahawks, Bucs and Lions, the case is very strong.

Agree with your view on Stafford. People keep saying the Patriots have a weak schedule, but the Rams have not had a tough one on paper either. However, you can only play who is on your schedule. I think Stafford can really boost his chances more than some other QB's with the Rams remaining schedule.

49er's
Seahawks x2
Bucs
Lions

There is a lot of opportunity there to boost that MVP case.

In regards to Maye, the Patriots will likely need to win at least two out of the three games against the Bucs, Bills, and Ravens. I think the Patriots will definitely have to beat the Bills for him to have a real chance. If not, then I think Allen could move up.

The Patriots also can't lose against some of these bottom feeder teams. If they can beat the Bucs and then either or both the Bills/Ravens, then I'd say he'd have the best odds as voters will look at his weapons compared to other QB's and give him more credit.

No way yall are saying Stafford when JT is out there. Can we stop just giving this award to QBs?

JT has been the best player all season

People are saying Stafford is up there because we all know it's pretty much a QB award. I would have little issue if Taylor were the front-runner now. At the same time, QB's by nature of their position just have more value.

If someone voted for Taylor as MVP right now, I would not complain.
