I've only ever had issues with younger barbers (20-40ish) in the hood. Cuts are always fire but I just can't stand spending hours in the babershop anymore, or being in the chair for an hour because of all kinds of phone/snack breaks and shyt.
The best experiences I've had avoiding that is with older barbers, like dudes 50+. I used to go to this old dude named Curt and he was no-nonsense, barely talked, in the chair and out barber. The only time I ever remember him stopping in the middle of a cut was when some badass youngins started arguing over 2k on the Ps3 system and one of them yanked the chord out.
Ol quiet ass 55 year old Curt looked at them jits like
and ran over there to handle them. I was just sittin in the chair with half my hair cut looking in the mirror like
cuz it was rare to see him raise his voice or cuss.
Curt was that dude but def started getting up there in age and I remember this one time he cut the side of my ear and it started bleeding. I was like
and I swear he just wiped the blood with a tissue and just kept cutting
His shop went out of business some years back. A lot of the spots i grew up with have
