Black parents can name their offspring whatever they want, but if they are going to give their offspring an unique name, then I hope they will also teach and support said offspring to work for themselves.
Like other posters have stated, regardless of what name a Black person possesses, he or she will still be subjected to profiling, discrimination and racism. One with the unique name may get their resumes trashed right away while the one with common names make it to the interview stage, then get a rejection letter or phone call.
I believe that anyone who is ambitious, tenacious and resilient will not allow anyone to prevent them from being successful. Those with a solid family background as well as a steady support system is more than likely to be successful regardless of their given name(which could be legally changed).
