It gave them a sense of being powerful, and nothing can hurt them too bad. They are basically narcissists who have no fear, so even if they KNOW what these hard drugs can do, they think it won't happen to them

White people always used more hard drugs then everyone else, meth and heroin has been an epidemic since the late 90's, but they put it to the back, gotta keep talking how fukked up ADOS families are

Another side of it is that a lot of them are put on medications from a super young age. I remember a lot of white kids taking Ritalin and shyt like that, to the point where they were excused from class to go to the nurses office to take a daily “med”. Get to college and those same Ritalin kids are now young adults fukkin around with Adderal and shyt. They become junkies early and then that coupled with an embedded sense of self entitlement, it’s a recipe for disaster.

But low key have you ever noticed how easy it is they overprescribe kids with mental pills and adults with pain killers? They got pills for ADHD, ADD, dead beat syndrome etc...These kids are walking pharmaceutical brands at this point so naturally when they get older they still want to chase that narcotic...shyt the only thing my parents gave me was some damn tussin and calamine lotion.

My friends from the city would smoke weed and drink. Thats it.

My friends from the burbs would do that then throw in some acid, mushrooms, oxy, or whatever else they could get their hands on. Simply because they had the money for it and they had nothing better to do with their day.

Rich people do more drugs than poor people.

These days? White folks been getting fukked up past the ceiling for decades. It's just with the advent of social media and news being brought to you about folk outside your region, that you really seeing the big picture as it's making the news at a higher clip. Couple that with weed turning face in Government and this younger generation of white folk that dipping deeper into the hedonistic life style of being a fukking junkie knowing that they'll be coddled and rewarded for it compared to blacks and you suddenly got an opiate crisis that needs dealing with when crack was falling on coloured folks head like plymouth rock and all the meth,speed,heroin addicts were quietly dying in corners and rural thickets if you weren't already excused for it by being a "Rockstar".

I'm in my mid 30's and I've never not known white folk in general to not be on Crank or the Horse ever since Beavis and Butthead taught me about the dangers of huffing fumes.

It's complicated. I do think a big part of it is basically a prolonged suicide. I think a large swath of white people in places like the Midwest and NH believe their futures will be worse than their pasts. There are no more cushy union jobs protected by racism and a lack of global competition.

Plus generally poverty and shyt like drugs and crime go hand in hand, and a lot of people just aren't doing well. And even for people who are, IDK. I think a lot of people are lonely and worked into a paranoid state by the media. My wife's grandfather committed suicide last year and nobody knows why. He wasn't crazy healthy but he was still lucid and independent, and I'm guessing he had close to a million + a fat pension. Yet he still couldn't take it. Maybe he had some undiagnosed issues. Who the fukk knows.

But people are not happy. The shyt you are looking at is why Trump won (and will prob win again). The American dream is over for a lot of people and they're not happy about it. They cope in different ways.... drugs, alcohol, racism, suicide... anything to numb the pain of reality setting in.

Most people, but especially white Americans, feel they are destined for greater things and a better life. The reality is, most people are not and will never reach the goals they set to attain and feel they deserve. Minorities and other disenfranchised groups face much of this too but they have active and tangible reasons and causes as to why they won't. Being able to place the blame on something and have merit (blaming the system, white man, American values, etc) is actually somewhat motivating because it gives you direction and a level of hope that if you could just remove those barriers, things would be better. White people don't have those excuses and are forced to accept their mediocrity is mainly on them and their own lack of ability. Combined that with their own created "American/Conservative/Capitalistic/Individual/etc" values that basically create a greater than warrented sense of self worth and dismissive of unity and togetherness will create isolation habits.
