Prometheus was ok but Covenant was very disappointing. Not much continuity, trailers were misleading, other trailers needed to be watched to understand what happened between films, and they killed James Franco mad early for no reason whatsoever.

The aliens were basically a creation of an Android. It just ruins the entire mystery of the species and wasn’t needed. The franchise has morphed from classic survival action horror to some weird pseudo intellectual bullshyt on creationism or whatever BS that overrated goober Scott is failing to convey

the problem with the 'origin' is that minimizes everything that the aliens had accomplished throughout all of the other movies in the franchise

aliens were learning, communicating, showing a hierarchy, etc - now its just.... really? they lost their independence and ability to stand alone. they're just another chained dog after covenant
