ahh yes. the sudden cancellations of BET Tonight & BET News.
its no coincidence that most black talk radio stations eventually starting getting bought out and/or taken off the air a few years later. and now we have craziness going on like trayvon/zimmerman and such. i havnt even heard a peep in ages about that white dude that killed that black woman just for knocking on his door. they got rid of that story quick.

y'all so wrapped up in BET you have forgot that THEY did the same to MTV.. where's that shyt carson daily used to be on... i remember in the morning they would just play videos until like 10.. you MIGHT have 2-3 actual shows.. everything else on all THREE channels was music related.. BET, MTV and VH1
now what is it? reality shows all day.. dramas.. little to no music
but guess what they got for you... MTV JAMS, VH1 SOUL, COUNTRY MUSIC BLAH BLAH, ETC ETC
they got about 10 music channels that play nothing but videos all day.. but no "show" around it.... why?????
MONEY... reality shows cost shyt to make.. you pay the people peanuts, there's no writers, no showrunner.. it's cheap...
now switch to videos.. why pay tigger, then carson, then generate Cita, etc etc... just to play a video..
naaaaaaaaaaaah... lets fire all the talent and save money.. lets kill a need for a set and production and save money.. lets CHARGE these people, to buy 10 new channels just to watch videos.. then take all videos off the other stations, so they have no option

I remember seeing her at Allen Iverson's charity softball game in VA in either '00 or '01. She was the announcer with that same annoying voice, but she was a cute little light skin chick with the short blond Jada Pinkett cut.But Rap City honestly needed to be put out of it's misery. Maybe if they would have taken it back to the Joe Clair/Big Les format where they switched up locations it could have made up for the lack of interest in actual music videos. It was dope seeing them interview Ghost in a restaraunt, follow Meth around Toys R Us, with Rass Kass in a helicopter and stuff like that. But I'm not interested in anything involving most of these new nikkas so it wouldn't matter to me personally either way

yep, but at the same time, those channels have no cultural relevance. people that get mad play on those stations are still considered avant garde.
mtv2 actually has hosts, but they suck and nobody watches that chit. same with fuse. its like both of those stations go out of their way to cater hip-hop towards non-blacks and shut us out.
