The smoke for simps is directly related to men wanting to see women fail. There's a very bizarre idea that Russel Wilson somehow "saved" Ciara, a woman with a very accomplished music career and made the "grave error" of dating and procreating with someone. The idea is that women only have one chance to get it right and if they "mess up" and date thugs, they should carry that burden and be doomed to perpetual loneliness.
