First, we need to stop sticking that deadbeat dad rep on Black men. Not caring about your child, and not being able to care for your child, are two different things. I know plenty of brothers who went to jail for child support, and not one of them neglected their children. They just couldn't keep up with the child support, which took 2/3's of their income, and pay their rent or have a car-note at the same time. Can't keep ignoring the root of the problem, which is all by design. And guess what, it's the simps that continue to perpetuate this image of brothers, knowing what we're up against. Instead of doing something about the system, they just tell women what they want to hear. Plus women keep making these bad choices, and half of these choices are simps...until their ass's get hit with that child support..
Btw, how can you be a deadbeat dad, when the courts are locking brothers up left and right for non-support. And how is he going to pay child support in jail, then pay back support for the time he was in jail, by working a job he lost because he was in jail. At one time, you could at least get a skill in jail, or even get an ex-offender grant...but they did away with all this. Then like I indicated, some of these knuckleheads don't want a man unless he been to jail, then cry when she become his third baby mama.
