This is what people don't understand when they make these types of threads about a specific group doing so well. Whether you're talking about Chinese, Koreans, Nigerians, Indians, or what have you. Only the best, brightest or hungriest are making it to the United States. If you're not one of those things you won't even have a chance of getting here. My dad is a perfect example of this, if he wasn't blessed with the the intelligence and work ethic that he has he'd still be in a third world country in a slum with the people he grew up with.

It's an easy side business. The work is basically handed to you all you do is make shytty cheap food while the headquarters do the marketing.

African Americans unity is weak or loose I think. When you go into a middle eastern owned restaurant their people support them. Same thing with Nigerian, East African business.

But African Americans I don't see that really. Even business catered for Blacks like weave industry is asian owned.

they plan on opening multiple restaraunts. THOSE franchisors get a territory and can operate them themselves, or have individual franchise owners operate them (the people we're talking about in this thread).

So, when indians or others are "opening a wendys franchise" they are likely opening a single restaraunt that is operated by Great Lakes Dining PLLC.

The ownership is real, they pay to greatlakes dining franchise fees, and great lakes dining pays up to wendys inc marketing fees and profit sharing.

This is not always the case...i believe Subway franchises do not operate like this...but most big names do.

Exactly!!! 80% of McDonalds restaurants are owned by McDonalds. Most of the indians you see don't own the store they just manage it.

It really isn't. Franchise and restaraunt owners end up buying a 70-80 hour a week job cooking/cleaning/hosting/serving/payroll/hr etc....and in exchange they get all the liability and none of the rest.

Owning a business is an investment. The intial investment to owning ANY business is a barrier to entry, and for the business ventures discussed here (restaraunts, real estate rental) theres a major day one investment...and going back to my first point

Because only indians with enough wealth to own a business or education to get well employed even explore moving to america

Shows why the gap between first generation immigrants and middle passage black people is as big as you all percieve it to be. (personally, I dont think it is as dramatic as some do)
