it seems like there is a negative stigma associated with local black owned business sometimes. People treat them like there worse than white businesses.
That's because they are...sometimes...
I've heard many a complaint about the lack of professionalism of small black businesses in black neighborhoods...
That's not to say the white man's ice is colder...but we have to learn how to run a business...
All in all IMPO...on all of this...if black folks want to become economically viable...they have to do what white folks have been doing for decades....start a small business in their
hoods and suck the money out...
If the Indians and Arabs can open up corner stores in our spots... if Eyetalians can open up a pizza joint in our spots, and if the Jews can open up a shyt shack furniture store on our corners and take our money back to their homes and their communities...we should be able to do the same...without
anyone bating an eye...fair is fair in my book...
I swear on every thing...that if I ever started a small business...I'd open one dead set in the middle of Bensonhurst with all black employees wearing an apron and a shot gun...and
dare one of those
gumbas to think twice about opening up their mouthes...and I'd have some
black mothafukin' faces on my wall (my reference to Do the Right thing)
