Y'all just can't admit that a lot of men don't want to take care of responsibilities. Y'all keep blaming the woman that is doing the raising but ignoring how a grown man doesn't love his own kids.

How did I not recognize that? All I have been doing this whole time is saying that both parties are responsible for their actions and their bodies. Saying that a men is equality responsible for a child that he helped bring into the world. The initial responses to this thread said other wise and that is what I am responding to. Can a man who doesn't want a child put on a condom? Just like a woman who doesn't want a child gets on birth control. When it comes to preventing an unwanted child, how can both parties not be equality responsible for preventing it?

Yes. i think a good guy is going to do what's necessary to ensure a relationship with his children. That doesn't mean he's not a productive citizen. Both of my friends in my example have jobs and small legitimate businesses.

My friend is like that. He kicked down his baby mother's door because she wouldn't let him see her son. I mean went to her house and kicked down her fukking front door. I have another friend that T-Boned his baby mother's car with his because she was playing with his kids. He had to go to jail on the weekends for that.

To answer the question, I think that if you come from a broken home and have daddy issues, you're most likely to be a deadbeat. I've seen it with past dudes I have dated...not that they're bad guys, but they don't have that mentality of "I can no longer put myself first and my child has to always come first" because they saw that their daddy did his own thing and even though they may resent him for it, it becomes a cycle.

Ladies: don't have kids out of wedlock with guys who grew up with single moms...they have commitment problems.
