Why do women keep remarking that I’m quiet at work?

I think women are just intrigued by dudes who don't feel the need to walk around super loud and obnoxiously. I legit think a good percentage of women feel like most dudes behave this way, so they feel a need to instigate a dude who stands out.


Especially women who are above average/fine (or think they are)...if you're in constant contact with them but never really seem to make a move on them or sweat them, they're gonna start investigating you/feeling you out to see if you're gay/taken/etc.

In my experience working in some places that were predominately filled with women as a more laid back black dude (I worked in a bakery and call center in college) women feel the need to fukk with you when you're just chillin.


Hell even I'm out and about at parties/events... nights when I don't feel like being too involved and just wanna chill on a wall and take in the vibe...those are the nights women wanna initiate dancing/etc.

That's that attractive gang shyt. I do exactly that at my jobs and the baddies get to talking and wondering what's up with you cause you treat them like they don't exist cause you're prioritizing bidness at your place of business, ya digg.

I get one or two my first week on the job that act head over heels towards me, doing all that low key cock blocking and shyt. No brag, it's just that one clingy ass chick that is decent looking but you can do much better.

I work in corporate america and have for 10 years, I've got co-workers that NEVER SAY shyt unless it's work related, no small talk, no friendly shyt nothing and they've been there longer than me!

I even have one that is from the middle east somewhere (but he looks white) - he takes everyone who asks where he's from to HR, he's KNOWN for that

with us, they want to get a "feel" for us..want to know where our heads are at...are we gonna be trouble makers? clowns/c00ns? militant? play ball? etc etc..

When a sc black man has a job, there is a unwritten qualification that they expect you to be an entertainer. Literally you can be damn near perfect at whatever you do, but be business like/brief with your peers (respectfully) and these same individuals will find something to nitpick because you refuse to engage their bull****. Unless fraternizing with your co-workers casually is literally necessary, then just keep it moving. Not even something that exclusive to dealing with cacs :stopit:​

Hell even with a black dominated workforce I'm sure it would be all the same shyt having to be social to get ahead

I'm on that working from home kick right now. That is the only jobs I'm applying for. It's starting to pick up huge in my industry and I'm going to take full advantage. The perks of working at home hulk smash going into work if you can't stand corporate politics. Be quiet all you want. No idiots coming up to your desk asking dumb questions. U gotta find a balance in everything u do in life. U should talk to ur coworkers and ask them how they doing....but don't be too intrusive and they shouldn't be too intrusive in ur shyt.

Plus since we black, we gotta also be on top of our shyt (or at least satisfactory) when it comes to work performance or we will be either written up or let go with the quickness. So we can't talk and socialize all day without getting shyt done.

Again, its all about finding a balance.

Then if you're a person who talks a lot you end up getting in trouble eventually

Im one of the only people on my sales team that doesn't needlessly gossip while at work and its specifically why the GM and President of the company love me
