Why does CP3 continue to get a pass, but Melo gets fried on the regular?

Its much harder to dominate the game and lead your team to playoff wins as a PG, especially if you don't have a dominant big to pass to.

This is just basic basketball.

Game is about wins. If you gettin paid the money and keep losing you get shyt on. If he cared about winning he'd take his p*ssy ass to Indiana. Y'all pacify that dude way too much yet talk like he's some all time great. Ain't done shyt. I see why jalen said what he said. Winning shuts people up. Goes to him and melo. I treat all these superstar dudes the same.

What makes Paul an overachiever? He was picked 4th overall behind another top pg.

He improves the teams he's on?

Clipps -2012-2013 - 56w 26l - after Paul
Clipps -2011-2012 - 40w 26l - lockout year
Clipps -2010-2011 - 32w 50l - before Paul

Hornets - 2012-2013 - 27w 55l - after Paul
Hornets - 2011-2012 - 21w 45l - after Paul
Hornets - 2010-2011 - 46w 36l - w/ Paul

Its a lot more difficult to quantify Melo's impact, considering the Nuggets got better when he left and the Knicks were on their back before the Galo trade/ Amari injury.

Paul measured at 6'1 in shoes at draft workouts, so this isn't some undersized guy playing out there.

Committed to Wake Forest his junior year.

Named NC's Mr. Basketball in 03.

Started from the jump at WF, winning ACC ROY, named to ACC 3rd team his first year. Consensus 1st team All American his 2nd year, selected 4th in the NBA draft.

That doesn't make him an overachiever, just a good player.

You put :gladbron::kobe::deadrose::russ: on the Clippers their record improves. Are they overachievers?

He plays with bums. Because Blake wouldn't be an all star without him and David west wasn't just in a ecf large part due to his play. :smugfavre:

Melo was already getting criticism when he was still in Denver tho.

Anyway it all comes back at perception, for some reason CP3 is seen as a "winner" (while he's never made it to the conference finals) a "leader" (because he's always yapping on the court) who "doesn't back down" (and stays bytching about calls and flopping).

:pacspit::pacspit::pacspit:

This. Saw him play against the Kings this past season and dude whined on every possession.

Mind you he flopped horribly when they came to Sacto a month prior

No one forgot that game either when I was there :pachaha:

Dude must have one helluva PR team to be getting away with his Divaness lately.

because he wasn't paired up with the players in that 03 draft. Melo's grouped with lebron and wade, plus he's a scorer

guess people didn't really expect championships from cp3

Expectations, It's like a nikka in 5 years asking, "why nikkas shytting on Derrick Rose for not winning a chip:to: but give a pass to Jeremy Lin? :noah:"
Not trying to shyt on Cp3 though, nikkas used to shyt on Bron for the same reason but Melo wasn't even mentioned, a big ass season pass.:troll:

His point is valid as an idea but if cp3 is a pass first pg he's supposed to make his teammates better not have Blake regress and then having people say his team sucks . Then if that's the case the fact that Melos been further means he's scored points when it counted as opposed to CP3 being able to his team and take over games :mjpls: guess he is overrated

Because Paul is not a dominant enough offensive player to lead a team to a championship, like most PG's.

Look Championship teams are usually led by dominant Big men who can anchor a defense and score at will in the paint or tall Athletic Perimeter players who can score, defend multiple positions, and Fascilitate. 6"0 Tall PG's don't fit this bill

I don't see anyone here calling him a winner.

He plays winning basketball, but he hasn't had any success.
How does he play winning basketball if he can't win anything?
Melos been in the playoffs facing the spurs lakers etc Just like Chris Paul . But melo has to overcome but not cp3?:why:
