Why does CP3 continue to get a pass, but Melo gets fried on the regular?

Probably because CP3 is a PG.

Point guards are not relied upon to carry the team, especially pass first guards. They need players around them to compete at a higher level. Cp3 is a pass first guard who would rather pass than shoot. He can close out games because he's extremely clutch, but he doesn't have the extreme pressure other stars have. Melo on the other hand, is seen as the go to guy to score and carry his squad because of his position. For all the points he scores, he can't get his team to win when it counts that's probably why. Ain't nobody on Deron's head for not winning a championship. But people will be on Durant in a few years. When your asked to score, your asked to carry your squad to.

That's why the position is overrated and those who build around them are retarded

The Celtics aren't a good team, idiot. With or without Rondo. They won 41 games! 41!

I never said 30%, I said 40.

If the Knicks were out West and faced the Grizzles or Spurs in the first round they would have lost too.

Carmelo isn't a better player than Chris Paul. You're delusional.

Carmelo didn't help his teams either when he faced those teams by shooting 38% and lower. He always underperformed vs the elite teams. ALWAYS.
And what exactly has cp3 stats gotten him :mjpls:and how he handle those spurs last year :steviej:if cp3 is such a better player he has to prove it by winning playoff games . Let me guess his team and coach suck and hold him back :mjpls:

His point is valid as an idea but if cp3 is a pass first pg he's supposed to make his teammates better not have Blake regress and then having people say his team sucks . Then if that's the case the fact that Melos been further means he's scored points when it counted as opposed to CP3 being able to his team and take over games :mjpls: guess he is overrated

Live your own life
Rose punk out in the playoffs. Cp3 never advance in the third round in his entire career and also had many bad games in the playoff. Deron didn't perform like a max contract player. Rondo can't shoot. For some reason, a lot of point guards get a pass from the media while Lebron and Melo are two of the biggest target of unwarranted criticism.

How were they realistically expected to win when the focal point of their offense, the lynchpin of Chris Paul's pick-and-roll game, and Randolph's match-up (the guy that went loose after his injury) was hurt? :ohhh:

Be real, after Memphis tied the series it didn't matter. Zbo started to beast and Griffin was going to get murdered healthy or not.

CP3 has choked in the postseason more often than not. He got cooked by Tony Parker in a sweep last year.

He's good but let's be real, he ain't ever winning a title.

I'm noticin' some aren't too fond of the cold hard facts that prove that, up to this point, Chris Paul has unquestionably been the PG of this decade, and arguably the greatest 1 the league has seen. Why? Is it 'cause the numbers don't match ur opinion? :heh: As far as individual talent and production goes, he's @ least right there w/ any other 1 to grace the hardwood. All the rebuttals have been with team accomplishments, and a bad game here or there. If the numbers and stats don't do it, how else are we supposed to prove this, the "eye test"? :heh:
C'mon, let's do this

Griffin being healthy had nothing to do with them winning :russ: The Grizzlies dumbasses gave up a 20+ point lead in Game 1

He ain't winning shid because there's a guy in Miami who wears #6 who will be winning titles for the foreseeable future.

So now we've resorted to name-calling, in place of debatin' w/ actual facts? :ohhh: And again, I'm speakin' from an individual talent and production standpoint. McGrady's past his prime, and his inidividual production/numbers don't warrant any such discussion. Paul's a different story, he's only 29, has already sealed his HOF spot, and isn't done yet. Who's to say he won't end up w/ @ least 1 ring, and further seal his legacy when it's all said and done?

Wilt's the greatest 5 to ever play the game; he ran into Russell & the superior Celtics. Oscar Robertson was a better player than Magic, yet this gets overlooked due to the era/competition Robertson played in. Malone is arguably the greatest 4 ever, yet Hakeem and Jordan prevented him from gettin' a ring. These players not gettin' rings haven't taken away from their production and greatness, Paul isn't any different. :yeshrug: And we don't know how things'll turn out x amount of years from now, it's too early to say Paul won't become a champion.
