Because people that fail at sales and management have no other choice but to go into IT.

Imean what else is there? Working for retail? Being a social worker or teacher???? Lol

The same is true in the inverse bruh. Can't hack it in IT...try sales etc.

also...you never hear of Information Systems managment? That's 2 birds 1 stone...4 certs....and all i need is 1 mic.

You gotta have the right disposition and personality for sales. Some have it, others don't (myself included)

I'm jealous of my friend who pulls down 6 figures selling signs. fukking signs! He's the perfect salesmen though.

one of my friends is the same way...but having to meet quotas and stuff to maintain so youre not making only base pay..not the life for me...ill take my IT job any day over that

Sales:

1) More money (Highest earning occupation of all time and that'll never change)

2) Can start any business you want regardless of knowledge in industry...which obviously leads to more freedom later

3) You learn that p*ssy and sales/business are the exact same thing and you get better at both with time ( :laff: forreal tho)

4) More valuable to people /businesses than any doctor, lawyer, etc. ...or second tier professions like "IT"

5) You don't have to fix computers and just have press a button to have someone do it for you lmao

Let's go ahead and add another neg train to the list...looks like I pissed off yet another small, but very weak demographic of people :laff:

I can't remember which female poster went off on IT dudes when she called dudes "the help" :mjlol: but baby girl was dead on lmao

But yeah... quit lyin to the young dudes...computer janitors ain't the business and you'll find that out in 5 years when AI takes over those duties

Bold is very true though. The non salaried commissioned sales person is ultimately the most valuable person to the business.

Information Technology IT is good money.
Computers aren't going away.
So many things are becoming replaced with automation that were once controlled physically or by analog and not digitally. Wrist watch, notepads, phones, thermometers, car control systems, etc. But it required computer hardware and software to make it happen
Even if AI becomes a thing of the future, someone has to build the hardware and solftware for the AI.
Even if you aren't technically saavy, you can get in IT as a project manager. They manage teams on a project.

And the whole slave to the job/man, it is all perception. If you want to be a poor hobbit just to be free, that's your choice. In IT, you can venture out into your own company if you have the know how. You can be an independent contractor and be hired by corporations or you can be the CEO/president of a company that develops software or hardware.

When it comes to IT, there are opportunities. In other fields, it's just hard to break in. You have to either know somebody, graduated from an elite school, or be really talented on your own merits.

If you buy something from a salesman in the year 2015, most likey you're overpaying for whatever he's paying. (How else is he gonna get his cut?)

Just buy it online. You can conduct better research and not get rushed into some bogus time is limited "deal".

Man salesman can be annoying as fukk. I used have them fakkits calling me damn near every day wanting to try to sell me software. They're worse than them nikkas on the corner trying to force you to buy their struggle mixtapes
