Masters of their trade get paid but in a capitalist society the man who can do it all competently is the one getting the real cash :russ:
Did you not see point number 2? I said you can sell whatever the fukk you want....if you KNOW how to sell

But I keep forgetting that being an introvert on here is prized....the "creative" generation :mjlol:

@Perpetual Beast I can't speak for anyone else but this is why I'm in IT:

And I only have a HS diploma.

192k a yr is good...I guess the difference is in sales depending on the field or what your doing there is no maxing out...which is why I like doing what I do. My earning potential isn't dictated but anyone.

A lot of people don't realize how much money their is in IT. I always laugh when you cats say IT dudes are the help because the lowest paid person on my team makes six figures :mjlol:

Like I said, can't speak for anybody else but cert money is good money :takedat:

Don't know why anyone's hating on IT guys. The main reason I can think of is you're independent, mostly, and you really don't have a cap on your earning potential. You're there to get a job done. No one above you, and definitely not middle mgmt, knows how long that job will take. You can fukk off if you want, drag it out if that suits you, or wrap that shyt up if the incentives are right.

Again, no one fukks with you but other IT guys, if you're newer and have to work as a team. Takes a lot of brains to do that shyt too. :salute:

I thought about it, but decided to pursue Int. Business.

^^^im only "hating" on IT guys because they have poor spokesmen on this website

Name one career where you can go from homeless to millionaire in 1 year with no degree...it's the one skill where if you're elite at it, any company is ALWAYS hiring...IT guys wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for sales guys ffs

I know there's a lot of kids on this website so I'm tryna help give them options..but these "vets" have these kids feelings like it's either IT or bust

Bad idea if you can't put in the work, and I mean A LOT of work. These kids today can probably pull it off easier than our gen, because if they were PC gamers, they know what most of the components are, and just learn coding or network configs for the fields they choose.

Would rather have more Black business leaders though. Need to have that economic development or agricultural shyt. I'm for jobs that give you a chance at your own autonomy or a real shot at leadership outside of military. Too many brothers go there normal and come out with some kind of brainwashing or alcoholic and/or pathological.

Kids these days have a ton of options if they start early or find mentors who aren't pedos. Just need to know the flow chart as to what should be specialized and relax. As we know IT is always there if you need it.

So how much u make?
Doesn't matter...if I told you I made 50k or if I told you I made 250k it doesn't make a lick of difference...the message still stands and is true...

On the internet, you find the most elite humans known to mankind...six figure salary, 6'4 and ripped to shreds, Kim K and Rhianna are ugly to em, they've traveled the world, all while being 21...

In other words, nothing people say about themselves on the net holds any weight...but I'm 33, work over 12 hours a day, work with big contracts, and have given countless actionable insights pertaining to real estate and digital marketing/SEO...dictate my worth off that

100%...it's tough to relate and feel confident giving the kids on here real advice though because they have short attention spans, want the immediate gratification/easiest path possible, and cause apparently I'm a Tom lmao (to be fair tho I am half white)...staying on forums mentally masturbating about the future is more worthy of their time as opposed to picking up those said skills you talked about...rarely see that work ethic I'm used to with our generation

I was in the military and to me it helped with my discipline..still wake up at 5 and never bytch or complain..I wouldn't trade the effects of how bulletproof it made my mind for anything...but I feel you...definitely not a career.

He really doesn't though lol...guarantee he's under 25...he lacks experience and I can tell by his posts...the people who truly succeed do one thing very very elite, and then eventually diversify into other areas

Being a jack of all trades will give you the jacks of all money

I think buddy boy over there should read the "E-Myth"...the founder of 1800 GOT JUNK? And You Move Me read it 9 times before starting his empire

What does that fool know though right ? Lmao

umm... that fool knows the right direction to go to as far as long term career growth if your aspiration is to become wealthy in IT

i'll tell you straight up... i've been at the largest software company on planet earth for 10 years on the services side, and what i've taken home the last 2 years is eclipsed by what my equivalent on the sales side has made the last 2 years

granted there's risk... but high reward if you can make your number

he's spot on

Yeah, slightly generalizing but not trying to be all encompassing about the military thing. Just a lot of family members joined and wasn't the same after. TBH, they weren't really fukkups before joining, but mentally weak and selfish. So it just gave those negative traits a superiority complex.

I know a few who were actual fukkups and came out responsible men, who are like you, driven and motivated (albeit a bit more Republican). I probably should've joined to work the system more for education and have my mind the way it is now a lot quicker.

It's hard to weigh the current generation. I think it's information overload for them, and they're dealing with the effects of high PC, anti PC, recession spending, media disinformation, permanent war footing, and xenophobia. Plus the rise of Christian fundamentalism wanting to seize more of their schools. I think they just rebel inside of electronics, the one thing they can control.

When they get motivated from that, I feel they'll really move, like I did later on. The ones that had families that could afford decent supplemental education early have been world beaters. Again, more of them should be mentors, and if rich, just have some kids shadow them for pocket money.

We give up on them too quick. They'll be okay. Not to dismiss your point as it is valid, and what I've observed too. I just listen to them talk on subways and it's a mix. Some sound like they have great priorities and mixed friendships, while you can tell where others are headed.
