:coffee:

I've never ever been envious of anyone in sales.

I have an almost stress-free network engineering job that pays extremely well

But I'll let the Arthur Millers out there cook :coffee:

Breh I been in IT for a few years now and shyt is not all is hyped up to be. You truly get to see how dumb people are when handling machines and how they'll buy the most expensive shyt on the market, break it, and then get angry at you for telling them why and how it broke. I was a field technician and stayed:snoop::mindblown: at some of the lies these fools would tell about how their screen or keyboard cracked, just so they didn't have to expense their own computer! The females were the worst when handling the laptops:why:

Get your CCNA and transition to networking. More money and you won't have to deal with idiots as much.

Service Desk, Helpdesk, Field Technicians are entry level jobs.

No reason to be in support for over 2 years:yeshrug:

I actually am in IT. There is a large population here that claim they are but clearly aren't but that's another topic. I'll be the first to say that in the beginning "the help" described my job description down to a T. It doesn't (or shouldn't) stay that way. I started in helpdesk and moved up from there. It's a decent stable job with good pay. Without going into specifics I'll say that at this point I have quite a bit of freedom to go along with the decent pay I receive.

We all can't be in sales. Takes a certain type of person for that. Just like the many branches in IT. You get in where you fit in.

You're an idiot OP, but only because instead of realizing the TRUE MOST LUCRATIVE PATH, which is mastering both, you cut off one hand to save another. No

You're right in a lot of senses though. What you really need, especially as a geek today, is social sales and digital skills. That will definitely take you places.

I was a jewelry salesman for a little while so I kinda got my foot through the door in the sales craft. IF you can master sales you'll basically never go broke. A good salesman can lie his way into any position he chooses in essense so I can't knock sales. Knowing your tech is important too though, and mastering both which require two completely different modes of thinking will put you way ahead.

baby, that was the old me
Sorry bud...going the dikk measuring route has no relevance to the conversation...as stated before, it doesn't matter what I make cause if I told you, you wouldn't believe it...much like I don't believe you about what you make

I'm Donald Trump's advisor and make 550 k....4 months ago I was a walmart greeter and only made 7 an hour

It's easy to say anything on the net...one thing that doesn't change though is the message...and mine is as transparent as can be...can't say the same for you though

It does matter how much u make

U can't be giving serious career advice when u making 50k. Homeboy u were talkin to really do be making that much and he's able to give advice cuz he's succesful.

I'm pretty sure u pulled that trump bs and were being sarcastic. Why would somebody wanna take a high risk job job over a stable one?

U think u gon sell the next snuggie? U think all dudes in here gon somehow despite probability and odds... We all become diddy?

A dikk measuring contest between jobs touted by broke people on a message board?:patrice:

This is like homeless people arguing about which 5 star restaurant serves the best steak:mjlol:

You tried OP. Working for yourself is the ONLY solution moving forward. You have to find a niche and address it. I can understand starting your own sales business but fuxx being operator #785, last row cubicle next to the toilet azz nikka.:stopitslime:
