Also claiming you have social anxiety and are lonely while having tons of friends and going out every weekend is trendy too. I think if anything people have always felt this way you just weren’t encouraged to say anything about it so people feel more comfortable being upfront about it now. Doesn’t mean everybody is depressed though and there are prolly just as many happy all the time people. But being depressed is a negative thing and 9/10 the negative will get more attention that the positive.
