He gets an eternal pass because he's a successful rap artist turned A list Celebrity/Actor who is the embodiment of hard work and determination getting you somewhere in life. The guy is an inspiration to Black males and he should be rightfully seen as a role model.

rofl, who does? I don't think I've ever heard anyone ever call Will Smith a GOAT-quality rapper. He was basically average (if a bit below that)
Echoing every poster in the thread, he had his lane. Wasn't lighting the world on fire or a lyrical emcee, and definitely had an air of corniness to him, but I don't see you making threads like "Biz Markie is corny as fukk making tracks like Pickin' Boogers".
Evidently "no one with any music taste" can like great Jazzy Jeff beats because they sound like "I dream of genie loops" either.

....dudes reaching acting like his music is all time greatness when I've seen y'all downplay much greater artist....Soulja Boys rap career is just as impressive as Wills...they wuz both kids got a few classic records...but Will is a great ambassador for hiphop as a former artist,and his show wuz hiphop that's why he gets a pass...his music is a afterthought
