Why Don't more rappers use live bands instead of dj's?

Hip hop didnt come from live bands..it came from the DJ..keep it true to its original form

shyt can change. i don't think there will ever be a day where rappers ONLY use a band at all times but there's no reason why they cant do it on tour or for a special event like Jay-Z did on Unplugged

Using live instruments on albums would actually get me back into rap and Hip-hop heavily like I used to be

nas had a band with him during most of his life is good tour. bass,guitar,piano,trumpets,etc... exception might have been very small venues. he though also had dj green latern with him.
i think the band's name is 'z'!!!!!!

a lot of Too Short's music was recorded with live instrumentation, it's tricky to transfer heavy sampled beats into a live situation if the band isn't talented enough or not used to it.

Overrated in many occasions. Some production is so futuristic that simple instruments can't do them justice.
I'm specifically talking about heavy bass/synth music.
House music dudes have on dude standing there dropping tunes and have 50k motherfukkers loser their minds.

A hybrid the same type Kanye had on his last tour was dope as fukk, he had like 3 "band members" and 3 dudes with synths, beat machines and mixers
