A lot of battle rap contains inside references that some wouldn't get unless they really kept up with battle rap, so I can understand why someone wouldn't or couldn't get into battle rap because of that, but for me battle rap feels like the only thing that keeps me connected to hip hop culture. Battle rap is the place I go to when I wanna hear great lyrics. I don't even turn to rap music to find great lyricists anymore, most rappers suck, and it's laughable (or mediocre and forgettable) when they try, and most of the actual good lyricists still rhyme on shytty beats that make it hard to listen to them.

Battle rap is the only realm left in Rap that the rules are still in place.

Biting is frowned upon.
Not writing your own shyt is frowned upon.
Your pen game has to be nice.
You have to know how to work a crowd and give a good show.

Battle rap is dope....And the last frontier for integrity.

Anyway, I watch battle rap sometimes a lot of my friends are heavy into that shyt always quoting battles and shyt.

That shyt is entertaining and the essence of hip hop. I'm not gonna lie there is a bit too much , and gun and drug bars. I would probably like it more if there was beats.

I even bumped Tsu Surf's album t was decent but his voice is awful.
