NYC soft now cause a whole lot of rich cacs have moved into the city. Thus pushing out the blacks to the suburbs. Its gettin to a point where its cheaper to live outside the city than in. A whole bunch of the famous dangerous projects and ghettos or NY in the 80s and 90s are either drastically changed in demographic or not even there anymore.

Some projects in the city are still rough as fukk tho. Its funny cause Im more than likely moving to the south bronx after im done with school. One of the most dirtiest and grimest places in NY. Simply cause I cant afford to live anywhere else.

New York Times - Goodbye South Bronx Blight, Hello SoBro

From my understanding there is a lack of police officers in the Chi...at least thats what I heard on the radio the other day....But I live outside of Chicago so I don't know how true that holds

Chicagos murder totals are in the low 400's now when just 10 years ago it was 650's and 10 years before that it hovered around 1000. It just seems worse now because those morons stack like 10 bodies a weekend when it gets over 80 degrees and instead of spreading it out over the week like normal cities do

this. It doesn't get as much violence publicity in the winter because there really isn't any. Honestly I have no idea what dudes in L.A. are even mad about.... give us great weather all year long, your women, and "other benefits" and Chi would have the murder rate of Wyoming.

all of the bigger cities have gotten safer but like somebody said nyc and la hides it better.

everytime chicago gets 20-40 shootings on a given weekend it makes cnn headlines or any other major news station but when this happens in la and nyc it gets swept under the rug.

chicago and any other major city is safe as long as u stay out of the hood, philly is starting to be even worse than chicago is.

I dont think those "benefits" get people out the hood, or make them forget about lil derrick from the eastside who killed their cousin. But carry on.

from the 3 biggest cities in the country who were ravaged by crime in the 1990s, L.A. & NYC has relatively progressed, but Chicago is still the worst city in the country in terms of mass violence with gangs, shootings , etc...

there's always fukkkery comin out of the Chi.
Ghettos dont die they just relocate

I bet there are a lot of east coast heads in the Chi now

Plus I think they just knocked down the projects out there? So those folks are all spread out

What are you talking about? My point is Chi has more violence in the summer...and less attractive women than L.A. Now I was kidding, but it can't hurt to have a happier environment to turn down that "killin'" vibe:umad:

can we just for one second end 1 level of fallacy when talking about NY

NYC is 5 boroughs

Long Island is 2 counties

though they share the same geographical location, its stupid to combine the causes and effects into one large "NY statistics/observations" thread....so lets stop doing that

once you separate each borough, then outsiders will begin to understand why NY is "progressing"

I see what youre getting at but I dont necessarily agree

All of the 5 boroughs are a lot nicer than they used to be. LI is about the same. What has gone to hell is Jersey, honestly cause I think a lot of folks who got priced out of NYC moved there

i go frequently.

they pushing all the projects out to Newark/Brick City & far azz areas of the boroughs. Brooklyn pretty much got turned out by Hipsters, Harlem/Uptown's next :smugdraper:

It's been happening in Harlem already. You have a train station at 125th that's a 5 minute subway ride into midtown and a 20 minute train ride to White Plains. The area had too much potential for the inevitable change. The location is fantastic.

If you want to know where everything is going, type Newburgh into google.
