Why has L.A & NYC Progressed, but Chicago is still a ****-Hole?

There is a video on youtube about it somewhere. Dude had a chopper in the window telling cameraman to get away from the window, because the other gang had smipers on the roof. Said they needed someone on the roof so they could walk from place to place and not get clipped.

Anyone on this forum from Chicago will tell you the same thing. Growing up in the 90's was fukkin' crazy. I used to live around what was Englewood High School & attended the grammar school down the street from it. I used to get early dismissals everyday for a year b/c nikkas from Englewood would

It's called Mayor Guiliani and the NYPD. People don't understand that that a lot of the notorious hoods in NYC were once occupied by white people. Harlem had its renaissance but I don't understand why it couldn't sustain itself. Honestly, who the fukk wants to see Times Square into a shyt hole again? Who wants to be looking over their shoulder because of the likelihood of you being mugged? Who wants to have that dreadful feeling every time you enter the subway system? Who wants to see Smack and Crack ruin millions of people's lives?

LA has 'pockets' that keep themselves up and flourish and grow. Hollywood, Downtown LA, Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Old Town Pasadena, North Hollywood, etc.. but on the low cats are broke as fukk out here and alot of the areas in LA are shytty as fukk. and not to go racial but its damn near Tijuana out here and illegals aren't about that gentrification shyt either.. they're all about making their neighborhood a carbon copy replica of their hometown in Mexico. In all seriousness, it's really a waste of resources to keep gang bangers in the middle of the city. It isn't as if they have jobs that are located in the city and require their presence in the office for long lengths of time and at unusual hours, like junior bankers who live three or four to an overpriced apartment. Hell, it isn't as if the bulk of them even have jobs. They can be violent elsewhere instead of hoarding valuable land from white and black professionals.

i'm all for BX/BK/QE getting revitalized. as long as they reserve some areas for low income housing. you know......because its kind of hard to run a city when all the people serving you can't afford to live there anymore.
p.s.: i always thought Wall St. types lived in Manhattan to be close to the office. it has to be hell to work 17 hours one day, have to go all the way to Brooklyn to get home & have to get back up in 6 hours.

1) As mentioned, crime is way down compared to previous decades. The reason our city is so sensationalized is because of the craziness happening on the weekend which is mainly done by HS nikkas. Its like these nikkas literally leave school on Fri and go to war
2) We have a real shortage of police officers on the streets. This has been happening for the past 5 years now. When there is a shortage of police, crime will of course spike.
3) Chicago is the gang capital of the world. In L.A. you have bloods, Crips, and latinos. In N.Y., you have smaller scale off shoots of the L.A./Chicago gang or rag tag independent crews. In Chicago, you have hundreds of institutionalized gangs going back decades. The difference now is these gangs are populated by young nikkas who dont give a fukk. Like mentioned earlier, it use to be a time when nikkas would let you know when the war was going on, what time, what block to stay off of, etc. Now, nikkas just pop up and shoot any corner, block, park, bbq no matter what or who is there. Plus, a lot of these gangs are breaking up into smaller and smaller sets. Everyday, I hear about some new gang. For example, I would hear about the young money GD's beefing with Dipset GD's
