dude...dude...its america, the entire world is in america. They don't call it the 'american dream' for nothing. cmon man. Are you trolling?

in terms of ethnic diversity, toronto beats

Nearly half of the Toronto region’s 5.6 million residents were born in another country. The nation’s 2011 census said that 2.4 million people, or 45 percent of the region’s total population, was foreign born.

If you're referring to a larger renowned culture that a tourist can immerse himself into...I can get what you're saying

But Toronto Is a city of 1000 subcultures, u just gotta know people

Cities like Atlanta, LA, Chicago, the DMV, Houston have tons of subcultures AND they export them around the globe to which they are well received.

This does not exist in Toronto.

Montreal
Ive never really traveled outside my province once too alberta ( edmonton ) but I love vancity everything is here we have mountains , we got beaches close , my city isnt fukked by american standards I guess we gotta shoot the shyt out of each other and hold down blocks to be the definition of real lol . But we chill we got the best piff around we got dispensories everywhere like bars/pubs So the canadian shyt I seen so far doesnt bother me im comfertable here only thing that this city lacks is a true hiphop scene .

Are you black? I know one dude who spent a few months in Vancouver and he said he'd see another black person once maybe twice a week. He said the people were cool though and he didn't encounter any racism.

I'd like to go but those flights from Montreal to Vancouver are expensive as hell. Looks like I'll need to put some OT at work before that ever happens.

comparable?
half of toronto is foreign born

And? All those cities are in the top 20 for diversity so you are splitting hairs.

Like I said, I could care less about a Vietnamese glass blowing show in Toronto when I can see the newest music acts performing in my city every day of the week or go to the store and I got infinite selection of things I can buy at a decent price.

actually I lived in vancouver, and I've been to almost every continent on the planet. I'm almost certain I've been to more cities than you, and I dont even know you.....
I travel quite often, more often than your average human....

Im from LA and it smashes all 3 of your majors, sorry. There is a reason more canadians come to america, than american going to canada.

this year alone I was in Macau, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and all of these shytted on your major 3 too. Sorry .
Lol
You are comparing other world class great cities so I'm not gonna take any offence.

But we aren't talking about those are we? We are talking about America . And there are only a few cities in the USA that are in the same league as Mtl Toronto or Vancouver

LA is a great city, why would you even waste your breath mentioning it?

What's the point in trashing Toronto?

Toronto is diverse.
It is expanding and developing.
And it's a major financial hub in the world.
I haven't been there but aside from the former Mayor, you could do a lot worse in terms of major cities, it seems.

Probably the worst thing is how expensive it's getting.
But I'd guess it has a lot of the perks of other big cities without as much crime.

i was just in vancouver a week and a half ago, everyone was warm as hell to me, cept a fakkit transit cop. I don't even club or go to bars and women were friendly as hell to me everywhere I went. I agree it is a very expensive city, its somewhat clickish in terms of races staying together but its one of the top places in the world where people date out wusually your paags with cacs.

I'm a cdn citizen but I do know vancouver pays crummy wages for the price it costs to live there, I don't club or drink or do drugs so can't speak on those issues

and its not droves only 20k candians move to the us a year, and most are on tn visas, its actually very difficult for a ordinarily cdn not counting marriage to move to the states, most vancouverites go to alberta for work which pays the highest wages in canada
Thing is, canadians are nice, very nice people, but they are introvert. I couldnt holler at any females for obv reasons, but from what I gather online dating is very popular because of this
.
I think Vancouver might be warmer than Toronto, but comparing canadians as a whole to their talkative neighbors down south.....no contest. Go to our southern states and you got people in line inviting you to their bbq. I'm not even kidding, these folks heard I was from LA and were straight up inviting me to their bbq cook out, out in Texas LOL. :pachaha:

The same reason you canadians mention you're from Canada.

Btw, you're the one who brought up Van and TO being world class cities up there on the top end of the list, so I hit you with the no it aint, and brought up a few that completely shat on yall.

LA without a car just not doable. With a car you have so much playground, but you have to know your way because its massive. I can see how it would be frustrating for a tourist tho. I always, ALWAYS advice you meet a local and ride with them, youll cover more ground and faster.

Was out there for five days, rented a car so I was good. Public transportation seemed grimey

Hit up Amoeba records, copped Suga frees street gospel and quik safe and sound (needed to replace those anyways) and hit the road

I hit up

Compton
Watts
A bit of the east side (not east la, but Florence Firestone...Ecc hood)
South LA (all over the west side)
Long beach
Huntington Beach
Santa Monica
Hollywood
Glendale
Beverly hills

And Orange County (Santa Ana)

Didn't go to ingle wood, drove through Carson (I think, I was at the Lakewood mall I think that's Carson no?), didn't go to Pasadena or Pomona etc cuz no known tourist spots and no friends out there

I think I left a part of me there

Now this is how you tour. :ehh:

See, when you see most of LA like this.....you'll really get the proper feel for it.

You should have also gone to downtown, we got some crazzzzy underground art and club scenes there.

i saw 2 black people in victoria and i was there for the day and they were on the ferry reutrning back to van with me.

When I was in vancouver, i went to surrey, burnaby, white rock and prob saw like 5 other black people, but there not like me and you black there like africans ghanians, somalians, nigerians, not really west indians.

cheapest fare i got is 565 :heh:, flying to abbotsford will save you like 100 and its like 50km from vancouver.

cheaper to fly to cuba, jamaica etc. than it is to vancouver, extra 100 and you can fly to london uk

west jet and air canada got a cartel on those routes until porter can get bigger planes
