Thing is, canadians are nice, very nice people, but they are introvert. I couldnt holler at any females for obv reasons, but from what I gather online dating is very popular because of this
.
I think Vancouver might be warmer than Toronto, but comparing canadians as a whole to their talkative neighbors down south.....no contest. Go to our southern states and you got people in line inviting you to their bbq. I'm not even kidding, these folks heard I was from LA and were straight up inviting me to their bbq cook out, out in Texas LOL. :pachaha:

cdns are friendly in smaller towns, bigger the city colder the people although everyone was nice to me in vancouver and when i've been to halifax. You could prob die in toronto and people would just step over you.

POF is headquarted and started in vancouver

in terms of ethnic diversity, toronto beats

Nearly half of the Toronto region’s 5.6 million residents were born in another country. The nation’s 2011 census said that 2.4 million people, or 45 percent of the region’s total population, was foreign born.
Usually Asian. Last I check for Vancouver that is, which is why Canadian cacs were complaining so much. Having 3 ethnic groups dominating your population doesn't make your city diverse. Having a dozen smaller ethnic groups where damn near every other block looks like another country....does. That is just NY and LA alone. Do you know how many Little Armenia, Little Ethiopia, Little Tokyo Little (insert country) we have in LA? A LOT.

yeah vancouver is really just south asian, east asian and cacs then everyone ese is a little sprinkle

cacs complain because asians are the ones who drove up vancouver real estate.
chinese folks plant their money in vancouver, send their kids who buy lambos and ferraris and dot pay taxes while everyone else is struggling

avg house in vancouver is liek 1.2 mill, avg rent is like 1,500 avg household income is 72k

When I was in vancouver, i went to surrey, burnaby, white rock and prob saw like 5 other black people, but there not like me and you black there like africans ghanians, somalians, nigerians, not really west indians.

cheapest fare i got is 565 :heh:, flying to abbotsford will save you like 100 and its like 50km from vancouver
Yeah most are fresh off the boat here , the projects here which is like 2-3 are mainly foriengers . my high school we had maybe 2 black kids and the rest of the school was hinduh or whites .

Now this is how you tour. :ehh:

See, when you see most of LA like this.....you'll really get the proper feel for it.

You should have also gone to downtown, we got some crazzzzy underground art and club scenes there.

Yeah I really feel I got a good feel for the city

Problem was, i was rollin solo and I was only there for 4 nights (between fri night club, sat may weather fight, and Sunday bone concert, schedule was packed)

Didn't hit up downtown, the ucla scene in Westwood etc

There will be another trip for sure, this time with some homies

The UN is stationed in NY. Just so you can get an example on how diverse it is. DC, self explanatory. LA have so many "Little Towns" me and some native american chick I was dating back in my youths thought it would be a good idea to try foods from every country, we gave up at Belarus.

Nah im native indian you know chief res skin shyt . Not a whole lot of blacks vancouver is like hong kong we got a city called surrey that is like little india where the whites are hillbillies and meth heads . Pretty diverse city aside from the lack of black people
Thanks for the info. Black people or not, it still looks like a cool city from the travel documentaries I've seen. Hopefully I can get over to that side sometime within the next year, preferably when the Habs are in Vancouver playing the Canucks.

Did people stare at you on the streets? My boy said everyone stared at him, but not in a malicious way, but with more of a surprised look. He said that this one time he saw three black dudes(Bajan like him ironically) playing cricket in a park and they told him that they were probably the only Caribs in the whole city that day. :heh:

i like it i've been three times since June.

Yeah people stared but not on that were gona lynch you nygger, just like a stare and another stare or a smile. Some old dude stopped me and asked me about the blue jays when i was wearing my jays snapback I said I don't watch baseball. Because most black people there like fob africans you'll stick out and people can tell your not from there, but everyone was nice to me. Went to this restaurant cactus club a few times and hit it off with teh staff still takl to a couple of them on whatsapp.

Victoria was prob the whitest place I've been in my life but people there were even nicer than vancouver and its cheaper as well

But it is a big change say coming from montreal or toronto then going there, there you see a black person your like :krs:, and you give the :obama:.

winnipeg got black folks at least

Yup. :blessed:I'm cool with an African (forgot which country that nikka came from...) and a Trini. I don't club often, but I do hear we have a mostly-black club up here too. Natives for the most part fukk with us, and Filipinos love us too.
A lot of nikkas date out though. I had a white girl tell me she found it weird that I'd date within my own race. :patrice:

:dead:

Almost every Canadian I've talked to that doesn't live here has that same reaction. The city ain't THAT bad.

...In the daytime. :mjpls:

The same reason you canadians mention you're from Canada.

Btw, you're the one who brought up Van and TO being world class cities up there on the top end of the list, so I hit you with the no it aint, and brought up a few that completely shat on yall.
But they are world class cities
Just because there are others doesn't discredit what I said.

Seems like you are judging 1 city you know in Canada and making an opinion on all of Canada.
Vancouver is Nothing like Montreal
Or Toronto
They all have their uniqueness about them.

IMO mtl>>van>>Toronto

Canada is a relatively young country with a low population still growing

I have family everywhere from Miami to Maine. And I've travelled all over the states and the world
I've even lived and still spend lots of my time in so. Fla.

But if your only factor to judge as a city is how easy it is to get "turned up" then maybe you need to open your self up a bit and see everything to put it all in perspective.

A lot of Americans also don't realize that Canadians have played a big part in American culture. In music, sports and film

So for Canadians to celebrate it is not just jumping on Americas dikk. But celebrating and being a part of something they helped create and grow
