Almost forgot.....

15. Their hiphop and edm scene was sorta rubbish. Again, when you come from america, you're a bit spoiled, but their local acts were terrible too. Folks were getting mad hype when Lil B and Wiz came to perform. So its 'special night out' when americans come into town. Thing is, when I go places, I wanna hear local music, for example in Brazil, I went to a Baile Funk party, when I was in Seoul they had K-Pop (shyt is wack but I like hearing local music to get a feel of the peoples creativity), but when I go to Canada, its basically just American music :manny:, they haven't created anything of their own genre, so they're of course playing the freshest american tunes, but the clubs are filled with cacs, like you're not going to have a crunked out ATL style club, no fukking way. That shyt was a little depressing because the whole point of listening to hiphop at the club is to get turnt and sorry but a club full of cacs or somalis (no offence) aint turnt. Caribbeans are live but they like that raggaton shyt, and theyre mostly in Toronto...WHICH IS ONE fukkING CITY. Stop pointing to Toronto and Montreal. Do you know how many cities are LIVE in america? over 2 dozen. Man do not compare our countries, its a blow out.

Ain't that the truth, I basically had to organize my time efficiently to check out the places I wanted to check out
I'm probably making LA seem worse than it is.
I really did like it out there.

It's just...frustrating sometimes.
Like, it's a city that became a huge city by accident.
It wasn't very well planned out.

But you can have a lot of fun out there if you know the right people.

All facts

A bunch of immigrants and a few sky scrapers can't make up for a lack of culture and the choices/variety you will get in American city :manny:

The culture is the fact that were one of the greatest melting pots in the world

Not traditional culture, I am referring to youth subcultures....the shyt you go out at night to be apart of.....unless you are going to Indian dance ceremonies and Vietnamese glass blowing shows to turn up?

Yeah I definitely got the vibe that had I known a lot of people there it would be a great experience (ie if I went to school there)

One thing about LA, which can be a good and bad thing, is that it had this underlying grit to it...this seediness, which gave it character. Toronto, being a city still developing in a lot of ways, lacked it

If you're referring to a larger renowned culture that a tourist can immerse himself into...I can get what you're saying

But Toronto Is a city of 1000 subcultures, u just gotta know people

LA without a car just not doable. With a car you have so much playground, but you have to know your way because its massive. I can see how it would be frustrating for a tourist tho. I always, ALWAYS advice you meet a local and ride with them, youll cover more ground and faster.

DC
NYC
HOU
SF
The Bay

are all comparable in diversity...but quite frankly, you don't get a bunch of points for having a bunch of red dots, Italians and east africans
